Never Seen

This month is the turn of the rather lovely Odin2 by The Wave Warden. Another track with a title that is almost completely but not quite totally unrelated to the tune. When a cheese sammich just won't cut it, I present: Odin's BLT.

Back to Bitwig this month for another track created from a bunch of launcher clips adlibbed into a track in one take. A few other wee bits and pieces were added and here we are. All patches from init apart from maybe the kick which started out as a preset. There would have been some automation of Odin's parameters only there seems to be some sort of clash between Bitwig and Odin2 when using automation.

Anyhoo, 15 instances of Odin2 and some of the usual suspects:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat Audio Gain 3 and KClip Zero on clip to zero duty
- kHs Stereo

- ZL Equalizer
- the ubiquitous Valhalla Supermassive
- TDR Kotelnikov and Nova ably assisted by KClip Zero on mastering duty
- percussion sequenced with Beat Scholar's MIDI rendered to the track
- arp MIDI generated by Eternal Arps

Apologies for the repetitiveness: listening over and over and it still doesn't feel like six minutes to me so I didn't cut it down. Also there's nothing to induce a boyband to stand up from their stools...

This month, it was "Odin 2" by TheWaveWarden. Odin 2 was the only synth used across multiple instances, including all drums. Only stock-effects and perpetually-free effects were used to process them and the master. Other usual rules apply: no samples, paid effects, or self-modulating effects.

Another wee escape from the strictures of the One Synth Challenge. This time the theme is "predominantly sample based" so here's a bunch of related samples mashed together! This is the first time I've made a track just using sample packs. And a wee bit of lift from Klevgrand's OneShot.
