My track for day 13 of Jamuary 2025. Today's prompt is "Dynamic Shifts" (from Brian Funk).

Piano Dilution

The sample of the stringed instrument is the sound of a shamisen taken from a piece called Gidayu-bushi. It is characterized by a heavier body and a thicker plectrum than a normal shamisen. The pitch of the sound was further processed in Japan, by Junsuke Tajima, with the SP-404.

Ghost' is a dark ambient and atmospheric dream EP crafted by cinematic ambient composer Michael D. Tidwell and experimental dreamscape artist Piscean Daydreams.

Calming Shadow

Day 26. I was almost finished putting this together and decided to try a spoken word over the track.  The lyrics were a mix of lyrics and notes from a poetry workshop I had attended for several days this month. We had discussed the concept of home, and these lyrics touch upon that, how it changes in our mind as time goes by, what it means to us, even when it may be long gone.

Through ripples in streetlight, reflected,
Run to the sea,
A strange air, condensing,
In these places that we've been,
We know the streets in the moonlight,
Fade away unseen

Somewhere, always somewhere x2
In my heart x2

It's somewhere you've never been,
An identity you chose,
A bond from memory and time,
It doesn't seem real, its form is dripping, crumbling, pulling apart,
An we rise to meet it,
Sounds whirr and we think of inbetween spaces,
And the lack of sleep in silence,
And even in the emptiness, 
Your voice,

Dusty Vinyls on Mars by Andxwaves is a lofi urban jazz odyssey through the red planet’s endless landscapes. Floating electric piano melodies, crackling vinyl textures, and deep, laid-back rhythms blend into a surreal atmosphere, as if jazz itself had found a home among Martian dunes and ancient canyons. From the echoing grooves of Cydonia Blues to the cosmic vibes of Sax Over Tharsis, each track is a sonic postcard from a distant world, where dusty beats and interstellar harmonies paint a dreamlike journey across the silent expanse. This is jazz, lost in space warm, mysterious, and weightless.

Empty Cross - electronic-guitar ambient music project (duet of two musicians, Maria and Albert) based in Lviv, Ukraine.

The sound of the project is a delicate ambient sound fabric, woven from shimmering reverberated guitars, soft analog synthesizers and harmonies, interspersed with minimalistic melodic piano phrases. In this sound space we place abstract vocal parts or vocalises, which become another instrument, creating a flow of intuitive states.
