Sum Over Histories proudly presents Love Around, the long-awaited solo EP from Vini Pistori. After years of contributing to the labels compilations and collaborative projects, he now delivers a deeply personal three-track journey, each piece inspired by a specific place, moment, and feeling. Cascais began at home, just before preparing for a show. Named after the coastal town he recently moved to, the track embodies its peaceful surroundings—nature, the sea, and an uplifting energy—while still carrying the club-driven pulse he envisioned for his set. Airport Sunrise was born in transit, created at the airport while watching the first light of day emerge. The euphoric contrast of post-show happiness and lingering nightclub energy results in a track thats both reflective and dancefloor-driven. Closing the EP, Sanctify Your Love is an invitation to pour passion into everything—whether its family, relationships, work, or creativity. With Love Around, Vini Pistori distills these emotions into sound, merging his refined, intimate style with a deep love for electronic music.

Frankey & Sandrino Return to Sum Over Histories with a Disco-Pop Remix of Ede & Max Joni’s Weine Nicht Kind

Frankey & Sandrino make a striking return to their own imprint, Sum Over Histories, with a long-awaited remix of Weine Nicht Kind by Ede & Max Joni — a track originally released on Watergate Records two years ago and celebrated ever since for its emotional depth and genre-bending character.

Rooted in connection and shared experience, Weine Nicht Kind is a track that speaks to vulnerability and strength in equal measure. Its marching melody, brassy bassline, and the raw, German-spoken vocal from Max Joni channel the energy of Neue Deutsche Welle, colliding Berlin’s stark expressiveness with 80s nostalgia. The original release included a Dub Mix and Max Joni’s own remix — an Indie Dance take laced with Afro House rhythms.

Now, Frankey & Sandrino add their unique touch. Inspired from the first listen, the duo transformed the track into a shimmering, groove-laden version that leans into disco-pop with their unmistakable finesse.

“Ede originally sent me the track quite some time ago,” Sandrino recalls. “Max’s voice immediately captivated me – especially because it’s sung in German. Right away, we knew we had to try a remix. As soon as we started playing around with the vocal and the bassline, everything came together quickly and naturally. We actually made the track over two years ago – and to be honest, we like it even more now than we did back then.”

Now, after sitting with the remix and letting it mature, Frankey & Sandrino are ready to share it with the world — a testament to patience, intuition, and their evolving sound.

Their remix of Weine Nicht Kind is out on May 2nd on Sum Over Histories.
