This one all began with the bells, a tiny xylophone played by Amma Li during a collaborative vacation with Mas of Citta Flow. Then came the bassline and Amma's sweet vocals. It sat for a while and later blossomed into a thick and mysterious adventure through melody and percussive play.

New Day began as a guitar and vocal loop on Amma's RC-50 looper. We loaded the loops into Ableton and it was our second collaboration. New Day is the dawn of discovering how we work together, what we love about music and what our sound is. This track, like every other piece on the album, went through several rebirths, as I worked my chops and our stylistic taste evolved.

For the second year in a row, I was invited to open a Tropical & Friends pool party at the Custom Hotel with a set that accompanied a yoga class, before the dance masters took over the decks into the afternoon. This is a live recording of that set.
