I produced and recorded this one last year. A story about the roman invasion of Britain. Its really a story of remembering where we come from. not to forget where our indigenous roots are. to remember the languages and songs that were stolen from us. remembering the goddess of the land.

This song is very close to me. those who know me know how passionate I am in reconnecting back to our Northern European indigenous ancestry. 

This song came through last year and I basically sat in front of the computer for hours recording this song into Abelton. The language is not a language so to speak, but more a soundscape of what came through at the time. 
Val Freya is A Norse goddess whom comes to me a lot.

I truly believe as Europeans we need to reconnect back to our own ancestors. so we can once again be proud to come from the magical north! Its time to remember my brothers and sisters! Time to put our roots back into the ground.

Those armoured eagles thought they got us all, but they didn't
On our sacred springs they built their halls but some were hidden 
They cut down the Yews the elms and oaks
They cut out the tongues of the druids in cloaks
They cut of the fingers of the harpers too
Took away our language and the magic imbued

Desecrated the spiral and raped the eternal twine

Many years had past since the legions days
Then came the priests with their dogmatic ways

But like the natives they were pagan too
They still feared the ravens in the ancient Yews
Beastly men tall and blonde

Now 2000 years have gone by, 
Were still fighting the same fight, revealing the same lies 
Defying the empire who told us to worship a man in the sky 
They stole our love for the earth, they cast their spells for eternal gloom 
They burnt us at the stake for dancing under the moon 
For worshiping the land and casting our runes 
They took everything that was precious to our souls 
our language, our songs, our tales and history 
Our freedom, our dignity, our honour and the mystery 
of it all 
And for 2000 years that empire has thrived
But every empire that rises 
Will eventually fall!
