Fresh Take embrace fresh beginnings in 2021 with our first release via Edinburgh-based Ru Stewart. His project, The Last Days of Pompeii, is a new sound for the label blending live instrumentation and vocals with authentic analog and digital instruments.  Drawing on inspiration from early 80s groove pioneers, this impressive outing displays deep layers of musicality. Catchy vocal lines gel with live bass and lead sounds to create a double-header of innovative cuts. Rounding off the release is established house maestro Yann Polewka on remix duties.
