French-based electronic duo united by love and music, La Matrice combines various influences around house music with a musical signature made of quirky fusions and indie vocals.

The story starts in 2018 when they met. Gautier and Amalia, respectively DJ/producer and singer/songwriter, began creating their own music studio and producing together, giving birth to their first releases under the name of "Mimush & Ama."

In 2021, they decided to become "La Matrice" to highlight their new musical perspective, blending cosmic poetry and ethnic musical shades.

Driven by the same passion for 80s/90s sounds and borderless vibes, they started a new chapter in 2023 with the creation of "D.ssoc!8 Records," an open-minded music label eager to reveal unconventional artists on wax. The same year, they launched their live vocal project, fully made of original productions.

Passionate diggers, they also share a mesmerizing vinyl collection and recently started playing B2B, experiencing the pleasure of this format together behind the decks.

DJ, producer, label owner and graphist, Mimush is a free spirit born in Bandol (South of France), heavily passionate by the vintage records. Mainly made of 80’s and 90’s offbeat sounds, his collection involves a wild identity behind the desks. Interested in DJing since his childhood, he spent his young years practicing his skills and developing his own musical vision, fed in parallel by his travel adventures around the globe. Finally back in France where he joined local collectives, and desirous to give time to the creative process, his first releases on international labels in 2019 mark a new beginning as a producer, leading naturally to the creation of his own vinyl labels: H24 Musique with his associate Simon, and recently D.ssoc!8 Records with his partner Ama. Together, they form the duo « La Matrice », delivering a live vocal format made of original productions, or a quirky B2B.

The story starts in 2018 when they met. Gautier and Amalia, respectively DJ/producer/vinyl collector and singer/songwriter/composer, began building their own music studio, producing together under the name "Mimush & Ama." In 2021, they became "La Matrice", a new identity marking a turning point in their artistic journey, mixing trippy and ethnic musical shades. 

The duo expresses its eclecticism through an underground lens, both in the studio and on stage. Since summer 2023, they've been performing a Live Vocal DJ set made entirely of their own productions, and more recently, they've introduced a hybrid B2B DJ set format. Driven by a shared passion for 80s/90s sounds and boundless creative exploration, they launched the same year  "D.ssoc!8 Records," an open-minded label dedicated to spotlighting unconventional artists on wax, to echo their non-conformist musical vision.

As passionate diggers, Gautier and Amalia also share a mesmerizing vinyl collection and enjoy the pleasure of sharing this format together behind the decks.

Between cosmic poetry and offbeat sonic mojo, La Matrice weaves tales of peace, nostalgia, mystical love, galaxies, around the many tones of the soul, all within a whirlwind of folkloric soundscapes.
