Johannes Brahms ( 7 May 1833 – 3 April 1897) was a German composer and pianist. Born in Hamburg into a Lutheran family, Brahms spent much of his professional life in Vienna, Austria. In his lifetime, Brahms's popularity and influence were considerable. He is sometimes grouped with Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven as one of the "Three Bs", a comment originally made by the nineteenth-century conductor Hans von Bülow.

"Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" is a famous musical composition for the organ. Composed by the Baroque maestro Bach, the piece is regarded as being the virtuoso's signature. Renowned for its regal and majestic resonance, dramatic command and titular opening motif, this piece  reveals the mastery of the performer's "touch" upon the organ's keys through its poignant and swiftly paced arpeggios. In western culture, the piece has developed an association with horror movies.

The 'Waltz of the Flowers' from Tchaikovsky's esteemed ballet 'The Nutcracker', appears towards the end of the second act. Attention can be drawn to the melodious cadenza of the harp, then to the horns that eventually make way into the riveting melody of the strings.
