This songs lets me understand how majorities rule over individuals who are based in fact and gaslit for not wanting to be taken advantage of. Majorities get what they want often to the exclusion of the rights of those who choose not to be used, but who have no power, or because of human imperfections they cannot compete against their ostracism/gaslit state. This song, with clapping in the background and lyrics, speaks to the problem of attacking those who cannot protect themselves. LGBTs, minorities, and anyone else being victims of social groups that ostracize them have my protection and support because I can now understand their isolation. This song burns that pain and sadness into me.

This is the most important song of the decade. This is what America is supposed to be about.

Back in November 2016, we've had the great pleasure to celebrate 5 years of UM:LAUT with Markus Acher's project Rayon. With his numerous bands and collaborations (The Notwist, Lali Puna, Tied & Tickled Trio, 13 & God...) Markus Acher has contributed various relevant and exciting chapters to the recent history of music, thereby constantly re-exploring his sound universe and repeatedly widening the horizon of pop music. Within the series of UM:LAUT, Rayon presented the album "A Beat of Silence" (Morr Music) for the first time live and in one of the rare concerts with a full band and an extensive instrumentation.

Special thanks to Markus and the band for the great performance. And cheers to Carlo Grippa for the amazing sound, the recordings and the mastering.

2015 saw BBC 6 Music radio presenter Mary Anne Hobbs stage an Erased Tapes evening featuring Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the prestigious BBC Prom. It was the fastest selling ticket of the entire season. Shortly after Erased Tapes was awarded Best Small Label 2015 at the AIM Awards.

On February 5th 2017 Erased Tapes opened the doors to its new East London home, marking the 10th anniversary by introducing fans and the public to the new Erased Tapes Sound Gallery.
