Echomatics arrives at the Erculean imprint with this massive double EP titled 'The Other Side EP'. Title track 'The Other Side' is an absolute gem, which has a bit of everything. The opening sequence is mesmerisingwith a wonderful atmosphere.  Then introducing the leading synth,  effective much? Sure is!! The kicks are clean, crisp and punchy and the fx are perfect. The sub drop is big and sits with the drum structure and synth like peas in a pod. The sub cuts right through you, and the lead overlay synth is magical. This is a big track from Echomatics, showing huge diversity, creativity and a real eye for detail. The bass fills are immense and add to what is already a massive track. The spacy pad introduction after the second drop are ridiculously good and they bind everything together really well. Superb track from start to finish, this is sure to be played everywhere! No doubts! Accompanying this is another fine track worthy of being a title track in it's own right. 'What Else', gives you everything you want as a dnb fan. Another airy introduction with a stunning vocal, the vocal brings in the sub and bass combo really well, and what a combo it is. The sub and bass structure are off the scale, and the overlay arps are delightful. The second drop is a delight and we will look forward to this being blasted out on speakers around the globe. The synths are magical, big track and great flow from Echomatics. A true pleasure to listen to and drift away into another consciousness to. something special again from the UK based producer. Title track 'Cool Breeze EP' is full of jungle flavours, with a really effective vocal hook that gives you the feel of being back in a warehouse in Manchester's Hacienda era. True rave sounds and an absolute weapon of a track. The jungle drums and percussion are exceptional and are really tight. The overlay synths and pads work together so well. Jungle lovers will be all about this... especially if you were part of the original early crew days. Accompanying this
brilliant release is 'The Best Version Of You'. with a nice airy opening sequence, leading into a brilliant vocal sample. The vocals are deep and meaningful. The sub bass drop is minimal and works an absolute treat. The percussion are clean and crisp and are used effectively. This is a great little track and the synths work really well. The second drop is delightful with the upping of the ante of the bass structure and the female vocal overlay is delightful. Great attention to detail and a real addictive progression in it. Bolnichenka returns to Erculean Dark following his release 'Medicine EP', and he's back with a 4-track EP titled 'Maniac EP'. The EP consists of title track 'Maniac', and this shows intent from the get-go. A real quality harder edge sound from the Ukranian producer. The first drop kicks real hard and the FX fills are on point, a real typical Bolnichenka trait. The overlaying synths are very unique and work well in the mash-up. The scream vocal is on point too and works well in the theme of the track. Solid production from start to finish with nice chunky kicks and clean percussion. Accompanying 'Maniac' is 'Paceent 13', and this takes a slightly different turn. The return of the pan-pipes and with a nice intriguing intro opener. The first drop kicks and the groove and use of percussion and fills again is excellent. The risers acting as the main synths are spot on and bring a real sense of journey to the track. The vocal sample is used to good effect and culminates in bringing together some unique sounds from the producer. Good track and the detail is incredible. Also on the EP we have 'Poplava', and this has a sci-fi style opener. This has a completely different vibe to it, showing major versatility. The bass rollerz are interesting and keep you wanting to know where it goes next. A real raw industrial finish to the track which will appeal to the heavy industrial dnb lovers. And last but certainly not least is 'Stryker'. This has a real wholesome sound from the start, a proper roller with attitude. This is a big track! 'The attention to detail in the structure of the track is class, never being afraid to test drive sounds. DT3 returns to the Erculean Dark label following his superb previous release 'Aliens On Holiday EP'. This time he's back with another double EP, this time titled 'Holy EP'. Starting with title track 'Holy'.... and this is special. A proper heavy roller, with groove and we love that! The intro section is brilliant and creates intrigue. Then the first drop....boom! And it has such attitude... a gritty little beaut with amazing bass fills. The attention to detail is fantastic and the bass change-ups are absolutely on point! DT3 is really showing his skills with this one and the vocal sample is perfect. The bouncy nature and driving force in the track is almost up with the very best. A superb track from the Australian producer. Accompanying the release is 'Ain't Nobody Dance', and this is completely different again. When you contrast the DT3 tracks currently across the label and including this, you see the pure diversity of the producer. This track has a 90's olds-skool rave vibe to it, but in the form of drum n bass. The House music vibes it gives off as influence is special, really catering for a sound that is very imminent in returning as the cycle of ages goes on. The vocal sample and piano really give the rave vibe and that really is a good thing! Bring home the rave! DT3 has killed it once again, with this nice groove and the impressive bass structure it really stands up in this EP. With a real funk in the bassline, this really captivates you. This starts as it means to go in, with a nice array of bass fills and hats. Wez always puts his fx to great use, sounding really effective in it's environment. The first drop thumps and what follows is a nice bass groove with lots of impressive bass fills and fx. The drive and stature of the track is what impresses us most, and it packs a punch as good as anything else. Seriously great attention to detail in breakdowns creating it's own atmosphere which certainly works a treat. The second drop ups the ante, with new layered bass fills and FX. A truly brilliant piece of work from the UK producer. The track is crisp and the fact you can pull every sound out is again impressive. A truly brilliant piece of work and a real solid production, and we are seeing a remarkable rise in this producer, and he sure is a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. Higher (Than) returns to the Erculean imprint, usually associated with Erculean Recordings. This time she brings a rare darker toned release for Erculean Dark. 'Stay' is an absolute gem, and she certainly kept this dark side hidden. With solid, chunky kicks and a really impressive percussion structure as what we are consistently coming to recognise from the Hungarian producer. The piano keys are fantastic and the tone is mesmerising. The bass and sub bass combo are killer, with a really great introduction of firstly the female vocal sample, then the male spoken vocal which both work really well. The detail the producer has gone to, to make it flow so flawlessly needs to be commended. The pads are used to great effect, and work well with the piano keys. This is just a perfectly polished track, which works on so many levels. The vibes from this track are off the scale and we know you will love this one, a truly brilliant track. Impressive continued growth and it seems everything she touches turns to gold right now, impressing across labels. Higher(Than) is a name her to stay!
