3 X OM with ambient soundscape and ocean sound. For start or end of a yoga session. OM is a most sacred and powerful utterance across all Dharmic traditions of India. In Sanskrit there is some nineteen additional meanings to the word OM and symbol ॐ. These include "Rakṣaṇa" or "OM as the protector", that which protects those who chant "OM". "Gati" means eternally moving, unstoppable motion. "Prīti" is "bliss or favourable disposition", with the OM as "possessor of bliss or Anand" - he or she who is "favourably disposed towards everybody".

After 20 years of dreaming, I finally decided to take my yoga teacher training, and I did it with my partner Naomi Jason, and one of my favorite teachers, Shiva Rea.  

We trained for 3 weeks at Blue Spirit in Nosara, Costa Rica.

I've been making music for Shiva for almost 20 years, and this was by far the most intimate and rewarding journey of collaboration. 

Enjoy the vibes!  You can hear Shiva teaching in the background, so this is for practice, probably not best for use in class.  I hope to translate these into studio releases this spring :)

There's nothing to say when the music is so good! 

But if we must then let's mention that London native, Eric Monkhouse, sure knows how to hold space for a kick ass experience. His choice selections and seamless mixing inspire only one direction - DEEP DOWN - towards the intimacy and longing of shared connection.  We've all felt it - those exquisite moments, when we close our eyes and throw our arms up in sheer joy and appreciation.  

Eric has a knack of prolonging those moments in a series of waves which wash over our bodies and psyches.  It's a home coming of sorts - that warm, spacious, womb like familiarity of the kick drum of our mother's heartbeat.  Drawing from a wide base of culturally diverse music, he'll use rhythms and warm bass frequencies to reconnect to our ancestral roots - when there was only a simple circle, fire and night sky.  Turn up to his gigs ready to feel grounded, centered and liberated. 

At the end and If the setting is appropriate, he loves allowing people to rest where they are and walk around wafting sounds of the didgeridoo.  Primal ear and heart medicine!
