The 1st single from Eric Letta’s upcoming 2nd studio album takes listeners on a fun ride with some big surprises. It’s a modern and Latin jazz cover of a classic American pop tune. Once you’ve settled in to the chill intro vamp and the warm tones of the tenor sax, you’re hit with an upbeat Latin montuno groove. The alto and tenor saxes duel in a call-and-response leading to a huge ending chorus, then back to the comfy intro groove. This would make a great addition to a “Jazz Covers” playlist.

You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'

Eric Letta is an exciting and creative saxophonist, whose roots are deeply grounded in the traditions of jazz, but whose style incorporates many genres like funk, Latin, R&B, and soul. A native of Akron, Ohio, he studied jazz privately and was a member of the Ohio All-State Jazz ensemble before earning a degree from Kent State University. He spent the first ten years of his musical career playing in jazz and show bands around the Midwest. In 2006, he released his first full-length album entitled Say before moving to Los Angeles. For the past seventeen years, Eric has performed and recorded with numerous jazz, rock, blues, Latin, and big-bands around town. He has been a member of the Disneyland Band for the past nine years. In April, 2024 Eric released his second full-length album So Far.
