Jarmel Evans & Worship Forever is an energetic, high velocity, uninhibited worship band, whose earnest desire is to impact this urban generation. In 2007, it was Jarmel, whose vision for a ministry that would demonstrate the love, passion and heart of God through worship, that fueled the movement that is “Worship Forever.” Theirs is a story similar to that of most worship bands, in that they have a heart for God, but they are unique, since from the start they somehow were destined to work together. Howard University’s “Wedensday Night Live” campus ministry almost forced Jarmel and Worship Forever to accept their calling. Kristen Taylor, the President of Howard Gospel Choir at the time, insisted that Jarmel lead worship for their annual Thanksgiving Concert. Jarmel, feeling compelled by Kristen’s faith and persistence, gathered a few friends and it just seemed to click. The twist to the whole story is that Jarmel could only gather female friends to help with the engagement, but not to his surprise, it was the perfect blend of harmonic beauty and passion for God! Jarmel Evans, and the newly formed, Worship Forever –all girl worship team-went on from there to lend their hearts and voices to the campus ministry of Howard University faithfully for 5 years, alongside Rev. Bill Lee and his staff. 
Growing up in Washington, DC, he attended Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts where he carried out his classical voice studies and then on to Cardozo Sr. High School Arts Program where he obtained a full scholarship to Bethune-Cookman College, now a full scale University; there he studied Classical Voice with a double major in Psychology. Since, Jarmel Evans, Singer/Songwriter/Artist and Leader of Worship Forever, has become one of the most sought after Worship Leaders in the country and has ministered with some of the most notable pastors and national recording artist in the world. He has also been featured on many internationally acclaimed arenas such as BET Teen Summit, where he served as a premiere Posse Member for 3 years, Trinity Broadcasting Network, study with The Washington Opera Company, National Choral Arts Society, Opera Singer Denyce Graves, and Jazz Artist Nnenna Freelon. Jarmel has ministered on the stages of such prolific conferences as, “Woman Thou Art Loosed” Conference- Morning Glory Session, Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church Holy Convocation, “Are You Ready” a touring Christian Stage play, The Kennedy Center Harlem Boys Choir and much more .
Over the past 7 years of their career, Jarmel Evans & Worship Forever have ministered across the country and shared the stage with noted local and national recording artist such as Kurt Carr, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Nikki Ross, Kim Burrell, Tye Tribbett, VaShawn Mitchell, Kevin Terry&Predestined, Jonathan Nelson, Ernest Pugh, Gerald Scott, Mali Music and Brittney Wright. Worship Forever’s ministry is wide spread from New York to Nashville, Tennessee where they participated in a Urban Soul Café Dove Weekend Showcase in 2010. Jarmel Evans and Worship Forever have had the experience of ministering on numerous tapings of Bobby Jones Gospel to include interviews in local news and other local/public television networks across the country. Coupled with their intricate blend of vocal harmony and unique musical diversity these young people set out to give God worship in its purest form. 

With the forthcoming debut album “Eternal” in the works, Jarmel Evans and Worship Forever hope to encourage, inspire and lead our generation to their passion in worship. Through multiple outreach efforts, such as, Freedom Vibe-Worship Concert Series, “HANDS ON” Outreach Project, State of Emergency Prayer and Praise and Worship Conference, and Project R.A.D.E. a urban at risk youth initiative, Jarmel and the band have their hands full, but it’s all to the praise and glory of God.
