Dark Entries is proud to release the sophomore EP from Bézier entitled “Telomeres.” Bézier is the moniker of SF local musician Robert Yang who also is part of the illustrious Honey Soundsystem crew. “Telomeres” is the follow up to Bézier’s debut EP “Ensconced”, released in 2013. The title relates to themes of time, science, analytics and procedures. Musically, Bézier incorporates his influences for the record by reinterpreting the refrains of Spanish new wave and Italo disco before plunging into the underground styles of synth-punk and industrial. These six tracks were written, produced and mixed by Bézier at his home studio in San Francisco between 2014 and 2015 with tracks that debut his own vocals.

All songs have been mixed by Mark Pistel (of Meat Beat Manifesto fame) at Room 5, San Francisco and EQed for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios. The vinyl comes housed in a jacket featuring an illustration by in-house designer Eloise Leigh riffing on early 80s computer graphics on matted sleeve to resemble the side panels of early computing instruments like Macintoshes or the Commodore 64. Each LP includes a postcard with a photograph of actual telomeres captured by a microscope camera by the Blackburn Lab at UCSF. “Telomeres” are life’s building blocks where the ends of the chromosomes lengthen or reduce and determines the host’s lifespan. Reflected in this music on this theme is an investigation of the future in which time elongates as well as shortens.

From the forthcoming ‘In Return (Deluxe Edition)’, out September 18th on Counter Records. This extended version of the album has live recordings of "Bloom", "Say My Name (feat. Zyra)" and "IPlayYouListen", all featuring our horn section. It also has instrumentals of all the original 'In Return' tracks, plus our new track "Light (feat. Little Dragon)".

"Light" and the three live tracks are also being released on limited edition 10" vinyl, now available for pre-order (shipping on or around Nov. 1).

According to Iglooghost, Little Grids consists of 3 short vignettes that function as glimpses into the antics of several unrelated beings. Firstly, Xiangiao, a gelatinous worm, currently being launched through a tiresome void of peanut rain. We then observe Lummo, an old witch who never learned to die, attempting to teach a gang of half-witted witch children a song that will revive an ancient superpower. Finally, Usohachi, a teenage bug bandit who wears a cool black coat, sipping golden tea whilst nimbly freerunning along the pink cliffsides.

Bridge of Suns

Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune is the third movement of his Suite Bergamasque, written for solo piano and completed in 1905. The title, meaning “Moonlight,” is inspired by Paul Verlaine’s poem, evoking a serene and reflective atmosphere. The piece epitomizes French Impressionism, focusing on mood and imagery over traditional form.
Structure and Atmosphere

The piece is in ternary form (ABA):

    Opening (A):
    A soft, flowing melody emerges over delicate arpeggios. The music feels weightless, like moonlight shimmering on water. Debussy uses rich harmonies and seventh chords to create a dreamlike quality, with a tender, introspective mood.
