Tomorrow On March 11th we raise a toast to Keith Emerson, sorely missed.   If you were lucky enough to see him live, like I was many times, Your Jaw dropped out of the sheer
brilliance !!  Not only just in ELP, but the Keith Emerson Band, 3, 3.2   and his solo soundtracks and orchestra pieces. The Three Fates conducted by Terje Mikkelsen with Marc Bonilla,  you have got to check that out..  He Said " I only wanted to be known as a composer"  in his later years. those who got to see his play with Brian Auger at the Sour Grapes were so lucky.  So here is my Humble Improv don't cringe too much  Peace G And I raise a toast to the Maestro!

SONG NOTES and LYRICS:
I wrote this song about an imaginary character born and raised on the Mississippi, growing up to be a music man. It's not based on anybody real, but is a kind of tribute to all (blues) musicians down the ages, who have developed their own style of playing and have become admired by future generations. I was inspired to learn to play the guitar listening to great guitar players and fascinated by their ability to simultaneously play a bass line, percussive rhythm and melody, while singing at the same time. (For guitar players interested in how this song is played, it is capo'd at the first fret and played in Bflat, using the thumb on the left hand to play bass notes while stretching fingers 3 and 4 for hammer-ons.). Hope you like it!

I close my POTENCIAL BIÓTICO album with this contemporary revival of a philosophical song I wrote 19 years ago when my grandpa died.

Could describe it as a requiem for guitar quartet, 2 voices, rhythmic base & church bell (you may know the piano version at https://soundcloud.com/esemanolain-ruizzo/sets/piano-sessions-2012 album).

A mostly slow piece with lotta soul and no artistic ambition (but a little ‘Pros&Cons’ air to the end ;).
