"Pure energy shines through our latest compilation, where all producers gathered together for a good cause. Lockdowns and social distancing practices are slowly easing up in the luckier half of the world, yet local producers and clubs are still facing a hard ongoing period of no live shows with a non-existing club culture. As a result, web-based platforms are more important than ever.

The Lahmacun community radio is an integral part of our Budapest scene, as they provide a remarkable online platform not only to musicians and DJs, but to local broadcasters, hosts and music enthusiasts alike. Keeping up the spirit, Lahmacun radio is eager to promote and celebrate music from the local Hungarian scene and from passionate labels, collectives and communities, be it anywhere in the world.

This 20-track fundraising compilation is therefore dedicated to Lahmacun radio. It is presented by 10 local and 10 international producers, hailing from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece and Israel. All of us worked and participated in this compilation to help the operation of this very important platform. All income we receive from sales of this V/A goes to support their work.

TL PREMIERE : SILF - Aces II [Dalmata Daniel]

When riding my BMX bike I was called dodgy quite a few times. Quite a bad name for something I would do passionately, I know, but never got the hand of it.
I would land a trick just enough to get the job done with no extra push given to either aesthetics or style. 
I guess it's in my nature.
Luckily for me as I picked music and the years went by I started admiring the lack of quality which some artists conveyed in their art.
I'm not calling out for the lo-fi quality primarily, but rather admired the sketchiness some sonic structures had and how they presented the ace noun 'humanness'.
I had a dream once. A tall structure which changed and changed. While zooming in or out you would see the same thing just in different form.
A voice revealed to me that every edge, twist and turn presented every conscience imaginable coming in and out of existence. 
It was unpleasant for an untrained eye, yet I've grown to accept the structure just the way it is.
When I came back, inspired, I've set the main motif for Ying Yang Complex in a short period of time.
I let it breathe throughout the years and the track evolved considerably. 
Only one rule was given round the process; it must always set me into that distopian vision.
Essentially the 'Ying Yang Complex' might be real and it might be proven in future years.

While some relationships are cherished forever, others slowly dissolve into oblivion as time passes. However, what lingers on are these certain moments when undefined feelings creep back up and we revel in happy memories while at the same time mourning the transience of past moments we shared with people which once felt so present in our life. The double-edged character of nostalgia that remains in regards to friendships and relationships long-gone - that's what Break Well tries to identify and describe. Break Well offers a home for a diverse array of artists to channel this sentiment into musical transmissions. Sometimes it hurts to dwell in this bi-polar sentiment called nostalgia, but in the end the positive feelings will hopefully exceed the negative and we will still feel love for each other - sometimes more, sometimes less.

The first 30 minutes are tuned in live and direct by mysterious producer Thomas Bush, who shuts down all the light in favor for a trip into the dark, where blues and folk guitar notes, outcast found sounds and a gentle depressed voice is bringing some profound light while keeping all roller shutters closed. Also, the second 30 minutes are gloomy. They been originated by Lithuanian jazz lover, musician and Vilnius based Hao Dao radio Host Ugne Uma, singing and playing together with LA based multi-instrumentalist Sam Gendel.  

The last hour belongs to German producer Philipp Matalla. As a long time Kashual Plastik friend he knows all the nuances of darkness, bringing a one-hour long rattlesnake trip full of wave emotions, manic jazz excursions, punk spitting, drone dunes, weedy dubby Word Sound raps and piercing found sound grooves.

Outsiders: Kashual Plastik w/ Thomas Bush & more @ Kiosk Radio 08.09.2021

Prodigal son of the ESP Institute, Juan Ramos, rises from the cesspool of a world gone mad with 'Agua Del Cenote', his fifth release with the label. Whilst many artists are following their inner light to bring us some much needed joy amidst these rotten times, Juan (being the little shit that he is) follows an inner demon and delivers listeners and dancers a demented clusterfuck of sadistic chaos. The title track opens with what sounds like a butane torch and we metaphorically freebase into oblivion. Our perception of reality unravels, writhing in abrasive textures smeared across a low-slung, mid-tempo erotic thump. Everything feels blurry and distant, as if we’re swimming through an underground aquatic tunnel, in a panic, searching for an invisible band of spirits whose tune summons us into certain annihilation. Following this is a remix from a decorated lord of 20th Century electronics, Harald Grosskopf AKA The Synthesist. Harald wipes away grit and lethargy to reveal elements hidden deep within the mix as well as softens Juan’s sense of terror by building up to an optimistic layer of added synth. We’d love to offer some relief with the balance of the EP, however, the remaining two tracks paint complimentary hues in the same cerebral palette. 'Let It Go (Freaks Only)' veers closely to House in terms of tempo and gestalt, utilizing a vocal sample from Third Generation (Kerri Chandler) and a healthy dose of sub bass, but Juan hardly apologizes for his masochistic tendencies and certainly never relents into an uplifting mood. Closing the EP, Juan serves an antidote of sorts with 'Cuko', as if suggesting a way out of the swamp, but leaves it up to the listener’s intuition to not only see the carrot, but actually follow it into the light, thus completing the quest.
