Hey everyone! I’m back with a redux of one of my older but more popular videos: my fanmade Columbina weekly boss theme!

I’ve been planning to remaster this for a while now honestly, but when I saw Columbina revealed to not only be in Nod-Krai, but possibly central to it’s plotline in the new animated teaser I knew now was the time to do it. I attempted to make this sound like it could actually be a song from Genshin Impact, but with my limitation to digital instruments for orchestration (and a lack of access to a real choir or vocalist), it makes it difficult to perfectly match Genshin’s musical style. I admit I listened to a lot of songs from the game while making this remaster, mostly other Fatui Harbinger’s themes, in order to try and perfect the style.

Now for the actual concept for the fight this time… I don’t really have one. Well, I mean I don’t really have a full one. I have some scattered ideas, like Columbina possibly powering/becoming the Fatui’s ‘false moon’ which is why they needed to find her or something like that, hence the title of the intermediate cutscene theme, but that’s about it. In my original concept, when I made this back before Natlan’s release, I had the idea that Columbina would be somehow related to the Crimson Moon/Ronova (without even knowing Ronova was going to be playing a big role in Naltan’s plot) and that Natlan would go back to the typical “Fatui bad” plots that we had been getting before Fontaine, but I understand the decision they chose with the Fatui in Natlan and personally didn’t dislike it. But with Nod-Krai seemingly focusing on the Fatui as a more antagonistic force again, I could see Columbina being the final boss of its Archon Quest more than I could see it for Natlan’s. But this time, I’d like to hear you guys’ ideas for this potential weekly boss fight.

I know some may see this as a departure from my usual modern content, but I’ve been wanting to get back into doing Genshin Impact stuff like this for a while since I personally find it fun to do. Other stuff, such as the ever-so-popular Sonic remixes and mashups, will still come of course. But I’d also like to do some more content like this so that I don’t start feeling bored of doing the same thing every time I make a new track.

Anyways, that’s about all there is to say on this. Apologies for the long wait. I know I say this every time, but I always like to be transparent with you guys and college is yet again getting in the way of me uploading consistently (mostly because finals week is next week for me). It’s not terrible, but it’s enough to where the algorithm is kind of kicking my butt right now. Though this time it was partially my fault, since I could have waited to make this until after I had finished the Xenoblade Chronicles 4 conceptual final boss theme featured on the last poll (I’m still working on that btw) but that trailer coming out really made me want to tackle this now.
