Great Christmas piece with a slightly different touch. The idea to use small sequences from well-known pieces together with your Song style is quite clever. I could well imagine that this piece could fit into a modern Christmas movie. Well done piece, Thom. Now the Christmas season can begin :-)

The Manitoban - Part 1

Finally working the Volca Drum back into the mix after not having used it for a little while. I like the lofi effect it gives the drum beat. With this track I leaned a little heavier into the Vital VST I've been experimenting with, also used the old minilogue and microfreak. Thanks for listening!

Homeostatic Imbalance

Introduction in English:

A good thirty years ago I had a partner who had strict Catholic parents. She had four brothers who married in the strict Catholic spirit during the time we were together. 
I loved the free, unbridled, wild dancing at that time. But at those weddings, any passion was contained in a rigid religious call-and-dance ceremonial.   
My "salvation" was Bosza, a Croatian woman overflowing with warmth, cordiality and impetuous liveliness. She was the wife of my then partner's uncle, who himself had fled to Berlin decades ago from the all-suppressing Catholic morality.
And with Bosza I danced half the night away at the weddings. Most people hated us for it. But we were passionate soul mates.
After I separated from my former partner, I lost sight of Bosza for the last ten years. 
Until I received a year ago over a brother of my ex-partner by WhatsApp the message that Bosza had died with not even seventy years. 
When I received this news, I had to cry spontaneously. And out of this sadness, but also out of gratitude for the great living time together at the otherwise dead weddings, this tribute to this wonderful woman was created. A woman who burned from both ends of the candle, and like most who do, do not grow very old.

Nights In Palm Beach - Paploviante

I can’t believe that it has been seven years since I last did a Christmas song. This one is a bit different. Instead of an (interesting?) arrangement of a Christmas or Holiday song, this has several bits of familiar songs popping in and out of an otherwise original piece.

For me, a big part of the Holiday season has been about happy memories. 

Here’s to new happy memories and a better year ahead.

By means of some weather sounds, I oppose precise dark parts to more colored ones, with serious work till 3:25 when I had fun jamming, so you can skip to 4:20 & enjoy great outro !!

Clarinet was borrowed from my sister for summer practice. Reed & keywork managing is difficult for a beginner, & home cohabitance was set on serious risk, but with painful effort I got something presentable, or so I hope, as not willing to repeat soon...
