Yamila, Argentinian born, since her childhood grew up exploring different musical styles,
ranging from South American tribal rhythms and percussions to progressive rock synths, and
the basslines and dreamy sounds from alternative and electronic music. Singing in a choir
for over a decade, she became passionate about singing and choral vocals, which have now
become a key part of her sets. Her foreign language studies lead her to constantly achieve a perfect balance between words and music, since each idiom has a distinctive sound and meaning that enrich the structure of Yamila's sets by finding their proper voice in the flow designed for the dancefloor. In 2013 she moved to Berlin for a few years and there she discovered and deepened her love for the clubbing culture, experiencing the emotional and social power of techno music. Back in Italy she gets involved in the organization of various electronic music events and approaches the study of mixing, starting to play for small venues in and around Milan. 
In September 2021 she became DJ Resident of the Closer party
in Milan based at Masada and Amelia, where she had the opportunity to play with great artists of the current international techno scene and to express herself freely and continue to explore her own distinctive and emotional sound.

After starting the mini Dekmantel Selectors podcast series last year, we couldn’t resist continuing it with artists from this year's line-up. In the next couple of months, we will release 5 podcasts by some of our favourite artists. This year’s podcast theme is all about 'another side of me', wherein the artists show another side of theirselves.

Next up is Rotterdam legend David Vunk. His motto? 'Life is live'. His records? Somewhere in between electronics, disco, techno and italo, as long as it has the 'vunk'. His labels? Moustache Records and Moustache Techno, featuring Gesloten Cirkel, Mr. Pauli, Fred Ventura and many other underground stalwarts. 

His mix for us shows another side of him, wherein he plays the records that he mostly doesn't play for big crowds. "I'm a straight-up tough Rotterdam based DJ, but I can be a sweatheart as well. In clubs, I mostly play eclectic stuff but this mix - which is recorded live at home - shows another side of me. It’s the stuff I play at home and is even more eclectic than you’re probably used to hear from me. Live free style mixing, recorded in one take.”

Bio: "Stemming from a partnership with two decades of DJ experience behind them, Wild Dark takes on contemporary songwriting and gives it a unique, thoughtful approach using a wide spectrum of electronic music to tell a story. The duo, comprised of the NYC based brothers Corey & Ryan Negrin, stray from cold digital samples in favor of a warm, organic approach to writing music. We go back in time for 10 years, to a well known club in Berlin, where I celebrated the 10 Years Anniversary of my label CLR, and guess what - also played for 10 hours. Can´t believe that this is already 10 years ago really. Still kind of remember that night/day very well, especially the magic moments during the party and also especially at the end, when I played that DJ Hell track. With me on that night playing were Traversable Wormhole, @sanhajimastering Brian Sanhaji, @tommyfourseven_47 and @monoloc_official  until I finished off the night/day with my closing set. These are memories that are ingrained in my brain and I surely hope we can soon do this again. So this week it´s the fourth hour of this set. All the rest will be coming on a weekly basis, as you all know by now I guess.
