Starting DJ'ing with vinyl in 1991, more than twenty years ago. He has his roots from the deep funk and jazz, latin-jazz and hammond groove. Today mosquito's mixes and selections are very wide.

From nu-funk, nu-swing, sould and the disco boogie, till relaxing buddha-lounge mixes, everything is possible. It just has to groove. Calls his music (world wide funk". Funked up Switzerland with over 1000 live-gigs and is now discovering the digital world with the nu influences.

DJ Ponna: A Rising Star in Mexico’s Music Scene

DJ Ponna is a Mexican DJ and producer who has been making waves in the country’s music scene for several years now. With a background in engineering studies in audio and disc jockeying from G Martell in CDMX, he has been able to hone his skills and create a unique sound that sets him apart from other DJs.

Since graduating from G Martell, DJ Ponna has played at several venues in Mexico, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Instituto Mexicano del Sonido, Nortec Hiperboreal, Isaac Maya, Triciclo Circus Band, Martin Parra, and DJ Falzo. He has also played at various festivals such as the Circonvencion Mexicana festival, where he wowed the crowd with his electrifying performance.

DJ Ponna’s rise to fame can be attributed to his unique style, which incorporates a mix of retro sounds such as funk and electro swing with more contemporary genres like trance and psy-trance. This has allowed him to appeal to a diverse audience, from those who love old-school music to those who prefer the latest beats.

One of DJ Ponna’s most notable accomplishments has been his residency on the Funkalicious radio program of Euforia.mx, where he showcases his love for retro sounds. The program has been a huge success, reaching listeners from all over Mexico and beyond. With the Guayabeats program, also from Euforia.mx, DJ Ponna has been able to reach the top of the Electro Swing and Electronic charts, as well as the Psy Trance style on mixcloud.com.

Aside from his impressive track record as a DJ, DJ Ponna is also making a name for himself as a producer. His first EP, Astral Worlds, was recently released on his own record label, Advance Tech Records. The EP showcases DJ Ponna’s talent for creating unique and otherworldly sounds that transport listeners to another dimension.
