This is St. Norbert College's annual Festival of Christmas. The Festival of Christmas is performed in the Walter Theatre located in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.

This charming waltz was written in 1891 by American composer, Charles K. Harris.  I stumbled across this tune while putting together my album, New Year's Eva, and thought it would tie in well with the holiday theme.

We've all been there - strapped for cash.  Once upon a time, I found myself moving in between cities worrying about the basics.  From the Disney movie, "Jungle Book," I play this tune in a 1920's, bluesy ragtime style.

For a two year period of my life, I lived an hour and a half east of the Blue Ridge Mountains  Many times, I commuted through these mountains to Staunton, Virginia.  It's true what they say, the mountains have a beautiful blue-green tint to them.  After frequenting a stop at a look-out platform off the side of the road, I came home and came up with this ragtime arrangement of this iconic American folk song by John Denver.
