Upon this startling realization,

I always wanted to make a sonic companion to the last song Bitzone, Frawstakwa, and I made together, “What Difference Does It Make.” I finally got my chance. This one came together real fast. Bitzone sent me a raw beat, I asked Frawstakwa to kick it off, and then I made some arrangement adjustments and laid down my lyrics and vocals based on Frawstakwa’s. Bitzone then finished it up and bada-boom, gotta move, gotta shake!

Massive thanks to Frawstakwa for bringing the fresh ideas and original verse and chorus vocals. And big thanks to Bitzone for always make the tracks more vivid than I could imagine.

Intimate jam got me this bass theme, which I developed with geometrical tones and fractal rhythmic, and offered to my old friend Negative Headphone. You should know his fabulous response on any musical style, and here is a proof of it. Enjoy!

Fractal Shenanigans (with Negative Headphone)

I made this track on my old electronic piano - programmed rhythm: Acid Jazz. I experimented by here and there making a part double of the recorded rhythm and change the pitch of the drum... in that double.

As usual i used effects on my voice and layered ...(sorry i can't help doing that haha).

Very simple lyrics,  but bottom line: we are living so fast that we don't notice it's going bad with the people around us, or even with ourselves.... 
We ask polite: "Are you OK?" but never want to hear "it's not OK?"
In this sick society we can have an important role to play to make a difference for someone.

Sometimes the heaviest moments are the quiet ones.
When a single piano speaks louder than any voice,
not with words, but with the aching stillness left behind.

Reminiscence is the sound of looking back,
of revisiting the empty chair, the quiet room,
the laughter that once filled it – now just an echo.
It’s not a cry for comfort, but a slow exhale of memory.

This piece doesn’t try to escape the sorrow.

This song is a Phish song written by Trey, Page, Fishman, and Tom Marshall, who wrote the lyrics. Originally, on their album Hoist, it's just Trey playing and acoustic guitar and singing. Stephen and I wanted to give it our own flavor though. After I asked him to play banjo on it and produce it for me, we started spitballing ideas about how we could add something more to it. Originally, we both played every instrument, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and piano, through the whole thing, except the first and last verses. Then we decided to trickle the instruments in for maximum effect. I also sang the harmonies throughout. Finally, Stephen came up with the idea to wrap the last verse in a mono effect, giving it a detached feel. He mixed it brilliantly, too.
  This song has always had a special place deep in my heart. Sometimes you hear a song and recognize such truth in it, it feels like it was written about you. This is such a song for me. Plus, it was written by my favorite band, Phish, so it has even more meaning for me. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

This song began with Ken's oldest son, Jack, who laid down the basic rhythmic beat. Ken took over after that with the rest of the beats, though. Jack just graduated high school last week, and he's into hip hop and trap music, so he wanted to share some of it with his musician father, who is very proud of him.
  Tez was first up on this one, which surprised me when I went back and checked the workflow. He added the perfectly placed guitar hits throughout. Josh was next up, using his synth to add the falling bass line. Last, but not least, Terry came aboard, adding the moody, melodic, high register synth.
  When it was all finished, we asked out resident pro mixer, Stephen, to mix it for us. 
  This song was in its current form for about the past eight months. It was originally part of a series of vehicles Eclectic Collective composed for The Mysterious Decibel. He got caught up in life, though, and had to abandon the project. So, we sat on it, asking all the rappers we know if they'd be interested in having a go with it, but no one bit. So, with Jack's recent graduation, Ken revived it as a celebratory song for his son. It could still use some vocals, too, so think of this as an open invitation to anyone who want to do the honors. 
  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

When https://soundcloud.com/dneye asked me for a track to play his fantastic guitars on, I brainstormed this 5/4 piece with odd chord set in order to make it difficult to him and thus get the best from his skills. After programming it, I added some organic solos (yep I played keys) to make it seem more friendly ;))))

And he... succeeded in the challenge, overcoming all my expectations !!!

Perfectly in tune with the summer season upon us, Islandman presents a refreshing sound from the shores of the Black Sea with this splendid sunny mix. Originally from Turkey, this brilliant producer started out at a young age and made his way in music by playing a traditional long-necked lute known as a saz. It’s thanks to this early relationship with music that Islandman developed the technique and feeling needed to handle farfetched rhythms, sounds and chants inspired by the flowering cultures of the Mediterranean Basin and beyond to blend them with mastery in his tracks and mixes. This eclecticism and understanding of music has helped him put together a wide range of melodies and musical styles which extend from enchanting edits of traditional Bulgarian sounds to smooth balearic disco. His mix is exciting and mesmerising, catching the mind in a gentle twine of melodies and rhythms. His perfect balance of percussions and electronic beats shakes and ripples throughout the track, and lifts you with ecstatic vibes. The mix goes on in a beautifully arranged journey set by the pace of your own inner dance, as if the concept of time ceases to exist and it’s just you and the music. Music For Dreams releases https://soundcloud.com/tolgabuyuk 'Dimitro' the second single off Kaybola (which means to get lost to find a new way), from their forthcoming sophomore LP. The record is chock full of ethno-cultural material from Japan to Bulgaria, including field recordings of Tuva, Central Asia throat singers. Shamanic rhythms were introduced to nomadic guitars, combining with compact electronic structures, finally transforming into dance movements of a tribe that no one knew and emerged as 'KAYBOLA'.

An intoxicating mix of experimental electronics punctuated by distinctly Turkish instrumentation.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Evandro B. Lira, also known as “Vintage Mutation”, has been a musical explorer since he was nine years old, when he started his first music studies.
In 1990, he became a trombone player, participating in “jam session” meetings and joining with some gospels orchestras. In 1996 he began his studies in synthesizer keyboards, suffering the influence of the electric guitar since 1998, when he started composing his first songs.
Active researcher on the relationship between music and mysticism, revives his experiences since 2016, expanding his sounds from synthesizers and guitars, in order to rescue all the classic and “vintage” atmosphere, for consequent transmutation into contemporary tendencies.
