Funkier Session #031 - Dee James

I recently got to play at the long running daytime disco, funk and house event MFSB in Edinburgh and although I didn't manage to record the set live on the day I've recreated the experience here with all the tracks that I played. Big thanks to Yogi and Caroline who had me over and to everyone who showed me some love with the music I played! Hope to return there one day as it's an awesome event. Anyway enjoy!

Fingerman Goes To MFSB 2025

For the second episode of the new "Mix Sessions," Pete Ellison donned one of his signature Hawaiian shirts, fired up the decks, and lit up the disco lights for a journey through multiple genres.

The new format of the show gives our Waltons a chance to showcase their unique sound over a two hour broadcast. The first hour packed full of glitterball grooves and disco magic, featuring three of his own new productions. The second hour shifted gears into house music, full of beefy basslines and a tougher, more driving vibe.

The session was meant to wrap up after two hours, but the energy was too good to stop. Pete commandeered the airwaves for an impromptu third hour, diving into old skool house classics and bangers from his vinyl days, before rounding off the night with a few funky breakbeat tracks.

Ep 02 - Pete Ellison - The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions. (18th May 2025)

The latest Funkier Sessionis a good one - a 96 minute beast of a mix from a UK-based DJ and producer called NTRIK. I loooove this mix - there’s loads going on but it flows really well… starting off on a lovely boogie tip but building to something chunkier with original and remixed disco, some house and varied funky vibes. A few classics and some new discoveries in there too. It’s a really nice one, and you’d do well to give it a listen to see what I mean! As always, I'm looking for more mixes, so give me a shout if you wanna get involved - all welcome!
