Tale Of Us - Time Warp - @Mannheim, Germany - 01/04/17

Here’s the recording of my set on the Spirit Train from 1am-3am on the Wednesday night. This was my first burn and we had just arrived in Tankwa Town earlier that day, so it was very much a baptism of fire (including in a literal sense - Lobo’s flamethrowers felt pretty toasty from the DJ booth!). 

Under a clear and starry sky, with the train rigged up to the Hauptbahnhof’s sound and lights and with hundreds of beautiful souls dancing with me long into the night, this was and will remain one of the highlights of my DJ career. A huge thank you to all those involved in putting on such a fantastic show and for making my first (and certainly not last) AfrikaBurn a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

Happy to share with you a recording of VVerses' set from the Noisily Stage at this year's festival in the beautiful English countryside. It was an interesting challenge playing first on the Sunday, so I started things off nice and slow, at 105bpm, then at around the halfway mark started to build towards 120bpm. A big thank you to the Noisily Festival organisers for inviting us to play for the second year in a row and for putting on such a wonderful event.

VVerses - Chapter 24 Records X When We Dip [Road To ADE Part I]

With tasteful and acclaimed releases since inception and more notably, recently, Chapter 24 has been currying the favor of music enthusiasts, and despite the assiduous biblio-references, drew in both booklovers and non-readers alike. After a decade and a half of friendship, the co-founders and brains (and brainy, at that) of the well grounded and versed label, once and for all decided to take their dynamic tandem into a more artistic level. Having done well with their record label, and in their individual careers as DJ and DJ/producer respectively, Marcus Blacker, widely known as Mas Black, and Sam Pauli, further their relationship with each other and with music through their VVerses project. Fresh out of the bag in their new moniker, the promising and complementary duo had a quick chat with Torture the Artist in Amsterdam during ADE, and picked up where they left off, now right from their homebase in London, to talk about the past as Sam and Marcus, present as Sam & Mas Black of Chapter 24, and future as VVerses (and of course, still as all above), meanwhile indulging in some of their favorite activities - ‘storytelling,’ reveling in contradictions and even a bit of music compilation. With their latest art:cast the duo delivers a potpourri of music that inspired them through the past years of their musical journey.

VVerses at Everything Will Be Ok | The Nest

Desde muy chico Agustin encontró su pasión por la música. Con influencias de bandas como Radiohead, Depeche Mode y Gustavo Cerati su oído lo llevo a conocer la música electrónica.

Desde ese momento comenzó un viaje musical que lo llevo a presenciar varios shows de Djs locales e internacionales. A la edad de 18 años comenzó su carrera como DJ bajo la influencia de artistas como Hernan Cattaneo, Martin Garcia, Nick Warren, Sasha y Guy Gerber, entre otros.

Agustín es un artista que ha logrado conquistar los oídos y piernas del público en cada una de sus presentaciones mediante el uso de melodías y el groove. Sus sets tratan de narrar una historia que lleva al publico por distintos ambientes.

Su pasión y dedicación por la música lo llevo a adquirir experiencia en varios clubes mendocinos. Agustin fue el encargado de realizar el warm up a Nick Warren en la fiesta de su sello "The soundgarden" realizado en la provincia de Mendoza. Ademas, a compartido cabina con artistas internacionales de la talla de Guy j, Darin Epsilon , Sahar Z, Eelke Kleijn, Uner, Lonya y Audio Junkies, como también con artistas locales como Mariano Mellino, Marcelo Vasami y Federico Monachesi, entre otros.

Mediante su Podcast " Modular Groove" plasma en un set de una hora los sonidos vanguardistas del progressive house que suenan en la pista cada mes.

Since its inception, Chapter 24 has been built on music that tells tales. Now, with Selected Stories, the label presents a carefully curated sampler of some of its most treasured stories in sound.

Revisiting crossover hits such as Patlac's rework of Kurt Baggaley's 'Winterland' via lesser known gems including Danny Oliveira's 'Saikin Do', the selection also brings forth more recent, impactful work from the likes of JOBE and Manuel Tur's celestial Edition 2 of 'All I Want' by Kieran Apter.

Masaya and Stevie R each feature twice, with their creations illuminated by the likes of Love over Entropy, Petar Dundov and Mathias Schober. Meanwhile, Amentia and Luis Leon offer their own standout moments.

The tales spun here invite you to get lost in the narrative, to step into another world…to re-emerge from reveries with new insights and altered perspectives. A return to house and techno that you can believe in.
