Evosonic Records presents the remixes of "The Storms", the successful track (EvoRec066) by Noxious Element and Dean Pasch, whose distinctive voice was also heard on "The Night" (EvoRec059). The guys designed their track as an energetic techno piece in Peak Time / Driving style. Remixers "DeTrop" and "NOX" made the song even more casual and positive than it already is. "Oliver Kraus aka Noxious Element" takes the speed out of the track in his "5bft Edit", but that doesn't hurt at all. The remix of "Chris Maico Schmidt & Noah Levin", which was already released with the original, gives as remaster on top. A must for every techno lover and another highlight from Evosonic. It’s certainly no exaggeration to say that Chris Maico Schmidt helped shape the history of techno in the 1990s with projects like Cybordelics and immortal classics such as “Adventures of Dama.” Mike has always remained a present and driving force in the scene through various projects, and since 2016 he has also been active under his real name, Chris Maico Schmidt. His new EP “The Brightside” traces the sometimes subtle and sometimes radiant glow within sound—from the inside out. “The Joy” celebrates the feeling of pure, unfiltered energy. “The Flow” carries this vibration onward, letting it dance, drift, and connect. Finally, “The Spark” leads back to the very moment when it all began: a single spark that ignites light and movement. With gentle euphoria, rhythmic openness, and emotional clarity, The Brightside EP is an invitation to feel your own resonance—bright, free, and alive.

Evosonic Radio was the world's first independent radio station for electronic music, which could be received via cable and satellite from 1997 to 1999. 
Evosonic Radio did not submit to the conventions of format radio, but gave its music editors and DJs a lot of freedom. 
This concept, unique in Germany, won the "German Dance Award" in the "Best Medium" category in January 2000. Chris-Maico Schmidt aka Mike S., who was responsible for the music played most of the time as program director, accepted this award. 15 years later he founded Evosonic Records. Today, as then, Chris-Maico Schmidt makes sure that the label does not submit to any conventions and that his artists have the freedom that is indispensable for the one same goal: high musical quality - then as now.

He was resident DJ at OZ-Stuttgart, Cave Club-Salzburg. Co-owner of Delirium Record Shop, Stuttgart. He currently lives in Cologne, Germany.
