„Elevated Pitch“, vom Deutsch-Bulgaren „Djambassin“, ist eine flotte Zusammenstellung aus tollen Trommelgeräuschen. Schon früh ist er auf Breakbeat hängen geblieben und konnte sich nicht mehr dagegen wehren. Schnell wurden aus chilligen Breaks, nasty  Ghetto Tech und Elektro Bretter. Die expliziten Samples und verspielten Beats sind mittlerweile sein bread and butter. Auch der Titel seines Mixes ist eine Anspielung auf die Tracks, die er auflegt. „Elevator Pitches“ sind plakativ und schnell verbalisierte Film-Konzepte, welche den Zuhörer direkt von deren Einzigartigkeit überzeugen sollen. Genauso soll auch das Set sein.

Djambassin - Elevated Pitch

Jen alias "multicœur_" verliert sich schon seit frühen Jugendjahren gerne in elektronischer Musik und vor allem in den kollektiv geschaffenen, verträumten und detailverliebten Räumen, in denen diese oft ihr zuhause findet. Durch die kleine aber feine Szene in der Heimatstadt Weimar geprägt, ist Sie seitdem ständig auf der Suche, nach kleinen magischen Parallelrealitäten, um in ihnen aufzublühen. 
Dabei immer alle umherschwebenden Musikalischen Eindrücke aufsaugend, entwickelte Sie über die Jahre einen immer breiter gefächerten Geschmack, der sich inzwischen nicht mehr klar in eine Richtung definieren lässt und (wie Sie selbst) auch weiterhin die Gestalt stetig wandelt. 
Auf jeden Fall hat er sich inzwischen von den toternsten Klängen klassischen Technos, mit denen er sich in Jen's Zeit in Leipzig manifestierte, befreit. Hin zu gebrochenen und bassigen Rhythmen, verspielten Samples und auch immer einer guten Prise kitsch, bringt er viel der sonnigen Einflüsse, die Sie die letzten zwei Jahre im südlichen Marseille gesammelt hat, mit sich und wurde auch durch tiefe Musikalische Freundschaften, Austausch und Symbiosen ausgeformt. 
Seit ein paar Monaten setzt Sie ihre Entdeckungsreise in Berlin fort und genießt dort das Überangebot talentierter cuties.
In ihren Sets versucht sie, durch unterschiedliche Dynamiken und Stimmungen zu führen, und diese so miteinander zu verknüpfen, dass sich ein Weg ergibt, dem man hoffentlich trotz vieler Wendungen folgen kann, ohne aus der Kurve zu fliegen. Sie wünscht euch auf jeden Fall so oder so viel Spaß, sendet much love verspricht auch, euch im Notfall am Wegesrand wieder aufzulesen.

Cynthia Matisse is a DJ based in Weimar. She usually plays a wide range of genres, with techno and house being some of her best known. In this set her aim is to tell stories combining experimental futuristic sounds with energetic and hypnotising soundscapes of breakbeats, drum and bass and post dubstep.
This set is a recording of her playing at the Flüsterzimmer Weimar, a hybrid of vinyl and digital.

Staying true to one's signature style, but at the same time re-inventing oneself again and again and again: A serious dilemma for many artists. However, it's not for Dole & Kom. Their Salto Mortale EP comes with three productions that are similar yet very different to each other in a fascinating way. The similarity is very sublime, as it seems like pressure and forward thrust evolve out of the context rather than prominent rhythms and sounds. Whereas the atmospheres of the tracks differ greatly. Salto Mortale is based on a voluminous bass line around which delirious melodies materialize from a vortex of sound. Silence comes with symphonic grace and big emotions. With this mix, I have focused specifically on progressive deep drum and bass. 
I first discovered this type of music a few years ago through Reeko. Since my sound is so diverse and I enjoy playing techno as well as bass music, DnB, and jungle and blending all those together, I was fascinated by how Reeko manages to create a very technoid atmosphere and mood at the speed of DnB or halftime DnB, forming a sound that felt very new to me, yet was not too hard or overpowering, but can sound very soft, soulful, and textured. 

It’s the genre that best reflects my diverse sound and the emotions I’m trying to evoke. At this intersection somewhere between techno, bass music, DnB and progressive trance, it blends psychedelic trippy textures with pulsating hypnotic rhythms. It feels dark, sometimes dramatic, with a tribal or ritualistic undertone, sometimes even mystical and otherworldly. It’s very immersive to me, with spatial effects that create a sense of depth and forward motion without relying on obvious drops or formulaic structures. In every genre I play I almost had the biggest weakness for melancholic and emotionally deep music, which is also portrayed in this mix.

I hope you’re somewhere quiet and mentally and physically in the right space to close your eyes and let it create it’s own atmosphere in your head.
