For the 9th edition of our Hotcast🔥series we invited @naitwa from Leipzig. 
She is part of @g-edit, a flinta*-collective touching different fields of electronic sounds from bass music to house and  in between with a focus on feminist approaches and struggles. Naitwa also started her own collective called @nice4what and is a member of Petrola crew from Leipzig. Furthermore she's involved in the regular event series DRIVE at Institut fuer Zukunft. In her mixes she plays a broad variety of house music – from tech, prog, 90s to early 2000s and nu skool breaky stuff to dub and detroit inspired sounds. Hailing from Leipzig Janthe’s made her way into the electronic scene only a few years back but now belongs to a group of aspiring (female) artists and collectives, which advocate for a visibility of females and under-represented people within the scene and possibly becoming representatives for a more equal and fair approach and access to the scene with all its different technical and cultural facets. It can’t be denied that Janthe’s day job tasks in the field of political education and on the contrary her musical commitment coincide and complement each other at the one point or the other just like electronic music or rather the scene itself has always had a political direction in its apolitically entity, even when latter has changed over the years - partly. With Torture the Artists Janthe discusses several ways of changes within the local scene of Leipzig, including the creation of venues for initially mentioned groups to follow musical ambitions among other things regarding the subject and also deviating from it in order to provide personal information how she first encountered the scene and started her musical career.

Feeling the fun for deep ravey breaks, electro and tribalish journeys through sound, Kim. Based in Bremen and as a member of ZfK collective, he tries to push things forward with other friends in that city, which - until now - doesn't really have a legally open alternative club scene with a permanent space for experiments and dance culture. 

Witchcraft thrown sunbeams and wizardish psychedelic spirals are the content in this mixtape for Galaxunity. Following a trancy vibe, leading you into a fast-forward breakbeat workout in the end.

Since Julius aka Sova moved into the Palais Palett / Objekt klein a cultural ‚WG‘, he‘s deepened the musical identity of the place by several deptitudes with his stylistic confidence and musical sensitivity. That is also what defines this mix, a continues stream of on point drums and groovy baselines ending in jazzed out house bliss. Is it 7am or 7pm, the sun rising or setting? No one knows, no one cares. And as you sip from your Beauty-Sekt and tap your feet onto the wooden palettes, gazing over the top of your lowered sunglasses, you say to your friends „mhh yeah this is nice“.
