Landing in May on Tomi & Kesh's NoZzo Music, up and coming UK artist Matt Arnold makes his label debut with 'Beat'. Accompanied by Distance Music head honcho Bassel Darwish, the EP features an emphatic three-track combo that we can't wait to share.

'Beat' gets the EP off to an impressive start. Clean and punchy drum work kicks through a rolling bed of percs and tonal fills, interjected by catchy vox. The standout element has to be its funk-inspired melodics with strings, pads, synths and more. 

Next up, Bassel Darwish's remix strips things back and focuses on driving low-frequency elements to create a gritty underground feel. Homing in on the groove, this minimal-style roller with subtle melodics packs a punch from the bottom up. 

Last but not least, 'Yeah' introduces us further to Matt Arnold's quirky side. Breaking out of the conventional rolling Tech House blueprint to treat us to some more electronic-feeling melodic factors, it retains its underground feel whilst leaning into some more rave-inspired sounds and high-energy aspects.

The A-side 'Hoes' combines infectious drum grooves with a rolling bassline. This accompanied with driving synths and a toe-tapping vocal is sure to get the ravers moving on the dance floor.

The B side 'Loco' offers up an insight into Joe's love for techno. The snare rips through the track whilst being complimented with a techno-Esque reverb. Loco delivers an intriguing percussive display. This one is sure to set a club alight.

Manchester duo MINDLESS. are wasting no time. Just months after launching the project, they’ve landed on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with their second release, the ‘Turn It Up’ EP. That’s right, the pair are levelling up fast, and we’ve got the premiere of MINDLESS.’s ‘Taste It’ right here.

Formed by Harry Carvell and Kieran Dearden, the UK duo have gone from after-work jam sessions to catching the ear of one of the most influential names in house. Now they’re stepping into the Hottrax catalogue, a space reserved for records that push the floor into overdrive.

The title track ‘Turn It Up’ is all about crisp drums, a snaking bassline, and a hypnotic groove that just keeps rolling. Federico Ambrosi continues to cement his role as one of today’s most exciting prospects with a stripped-back release on Hottrax entitled ‘Conscious’. 

Although he’s been releasing music for the best part of a decade the last couple of years have been incredible for the Italian producer having made appearances on Repopulate Mars, Paul’s Boutique, NONSTOP, Stereo Productions, Relief and Sola. Picking up support from the upper echelons of house music, such as Lee Foss, Solardo, Green Velvet, Detlef, and Jamie Jones, the latter now invites him to debut on his Hottrax imprint. 

‘Conscious’ is a rhythmic cut with crunchy drums, squelchy atmospherics and a quivering synth designed to compel crowds into a trance during the afterhours. ‘Analize’ is more robust in comparison: adding more thump to the kicks as a metallic snare, murky spoken word sample and viscous bassline powers everything forward.

Ecuadorian artist Cristhian Balcazar takes charge of the next   Hottrax release in fine style with a sizzling three track offering filled   with originality.  

As far back as his high school days, Balcazar was playing across   South America's finest clubs. After proving himself at a young age,   he moved to New York City and furthered his skills and his sounds,  picking up fans like Jamie Jones, Marco Carola and Archie Hamilton,   whilst dropping releases on labels like Sagmen, Roush and Material.   Here he continues to blend minimal, tech and house into fresh new  
forms on Jamie Jones’s ever-impressive Hottrax imprint. 
 
The brilliant 'Buzz' kicks off with a high speed and intergalactic journey filled with slick synth drama and bumpin' drums. There is an   irresistible crunchiness to the drums and sci-fi style to the vocals that  echoes the early magic of Detroit.  'Turn You' then twists and turns on more stripped back tech grooves, with crisp hits riding up top next   to muted vocals. The bass barrels along and will sweep the floor off its feet.   

Last of all, the fantastic 'Panelar' is the most tripped out of the lot, with corrugated drums and bass, stark hits and acid flashes and more   weird vocals all coalescing into a rugged, irresistible groove.
