The Walk 

The piece owes its name to the bass riff that swings you steadily with great and heavy strides, which are quite mechanical underneath the vigorous and solid theme blown out of a sax and squeezed out of a violin. 

In a sense, it's a walk through the howling noise of time. Something akin to the anthem of contemporary history. The walk that toils through magnificent endeavors and filthy wars, awkward  inventions and farfetched ideologies that blur the outline of habitual meanings of life a man used to rely on. And so the walk itself seems to be the only firm thing left for a man to resort to. And when it stops, covered with soot, the face becomes puzzled, eyes goggling, staring into darkness. And in silence is now heard the sound of the inner world, a flickering flame of a candle in the cave of the living soul.
