DJ Ink’s much heralded Architecture Label continues to remain a brand you can trust for future thinking avant-garde Drum & Bass for going on 25 years. The label has been the launching point for not only Ink and his own productions, but also for a core group of hand picked artists whose discographies have gone on to cement a legacy of their own in the genre such as Konflict and Gremlinz. Ink’s keen ear for innovation and talent continues to bear fruit today with the release of Dutch mainstay Sin’s first major album project after years of DJing and promoting in his home countries scene.
Split into a series of EP’s, Traumas, Lost and Found Chapter One, collects seven ice cold sci fi steppers into one potent salvo of uncontested dancefloor jabs. Sin’s sound is heavily informed by late 90’s golden era aesthetic peppered with heavy doses of Reinforced futurism, Headz Rufige, Krust’s abstraction and Optical’s sound design. A pallet Sin comes by effortlessly, honestly, and organically based off his many years of connection to the music and the culture surrounding it.

S - Capade got into the sound of hardcore jungle in the early nineties. Based on his background as a drummer he supported many DJ sets and then soon after became a DJ himself. Starting out his new found vocation he played a number of pirate Radio stations in Europe and swiftly moved onto the underground club scene. Adding to the DnB industry further he started promoting events and soon after became part owner and resident DJ at the legendary Massive Tunes and Oxygen events in Aachen, Germany. 
This EP is further evidence that S - Capade has a great love for the music and its many styles, fitting perfectly into Architecture Recordings’s philosophy. Originality and innovation at the centre of the ARX mindset.
Never failing to “rise” to the occasion, S - Capade delivers a solid EP, which is action packed from start to finish. He also teams up with the highly talented SIN on the EP, showcasing a great synchronicity in sound. After exploring a lot of abstract territory on recent releases, this single was a conscious return to more dancefloor / jungle-inspired ground. “Absent” was written earlier in the year, when I was isolating due to contracting Covid (I was lucky and only had fairly mild symptoms). Despite this, it was one of those tunes that came together very quickly and naturally - dark, minimal jungle vibes. “Churn” also takes its inspiration from jungle, but is a bit more unusual, and makes heavy use of hardware synths / guitar FX pedals.

The Exit Records camp have been in alias mode of late, from the self-titled ‘The Binary Collective’ album to Kid Drama’s Mikarma album; new avenues for creativity have been secured via new aliases which brings us to Module Eight.
Five like-minded beat makers; dBridge, Kid Drama, Skeptical, Loxy and Resound- all revered in their own right, who decided to form a project that unified their individual tastes, a long player that makes statement about their tastes about Drum & Bass and how it can be viewed. 
As always with Exit Records the material is future forward in its aesthetic whilst the production is detail driven but always club ready.
