Dutch label www.soundcloud.com/outplay is proud to present their first vinyl release - A collection of four deep, warm and fuzzy house tracks by Outplay co-owners Daniël Leseman and Junktion. While both Daniël Leseman and Junktion are showcasing their individual talent on the release, their new collaborative project Fouk sees the light of day for the first time. Influenced by the soulful house sounds of old Chicago and Detroit, this vinyl debut from Outplay shows you what they're all about.

This is me living out my desire to be in a shoe-gaze band. I've always been a big fan of bands like Chapter House, MBV, The Cure etc. I recently found the files and decided to give it another mix. I think I first played this at the end of one of the Autonomic podcasts; I forget which one. 

Cold Hands

The track "Wish" is part of my recent live set and hasn't been released yet. I recorded this version here for Club 69 in Paisley/Scotland for a special mix they did last X-mas. The picture shows a 10" dubplate containing the track.

Dj Chap - Life (Original Mix)

DJ Sonikku debuts on Distant Hawaii with three sparkling, island-hopping balearic house joints from the heart of a deep jungle-smattered paradise. 

Dreamed up from within the internet-scorched mind of Tony Donson, his DJ Sonikku alias sees him utilise Sega's heralded yet mildly-ancient 16-bit Megadrive console as a proto-MPC platform from which to assemble his tropical-tinged house sound. 

'Land Of Sky' bumps under sandalled foot with a tough-as-hell drum pattern that crunches and skitters below luminous, cloud-strewn synths; only punctured by a wild and hugely over-excited FM bassline. 

'On The Rocks' is a more laid back stroll across lackadaisical beach-scapes, hand stroking palms and gently diving into turtle inhabited waters. Pure lush tropical house with a tinker-toy Vancouver-inspired edge. 

Title track and closer 'Secret Island' is the vacation finale; a yearning, heart-warming trip through cloud city that really stretches the magical elements of Donson's sound into pure house-werk nostalgia.

Beginning in the south, the Bruce Trail hugs the ancient shoreline of Lake Iroquoia as it follows the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. The Path, over its lengthy journey, winds its way through a landscape of natural beauty as it moves up to central Ontario. 
As the Trail leads further into the depths of the woodland and Ravine, sunlight falls through layers of evergreen branches stamping intricate patterns on the forest floor. Continuing north, the Trail passes an array of plants and wildlife native to the historic forest. Vivid colours saturate the forest canopy, complimented by the sounds of the cascading waterfall echoing through the Ravine. In the distance a carpet of gently waving fern cover the rolling hills dotted with slow-growing centuries-old coniferous trees that reach towards the sun.
At the home stretch of the escarpment you will be offered stunning views of the Peninsula, with the calm blue water of the western end of Lake Ontario reaching out to the lush greens of the temperate rainforest. This is the journey of the Bruce Trail.
