It’s a rare treat to get new Arcatype music. Three passionate music lovers who are striving to put music first, art first, meaning first. It can be hard to find sometimes. But this is what Arcatype do, and this is why when they proffer new music, it means something. And why we therefore obviously love to sign their music. 

And so we’re delighted to welcome them back for their latest outing with us, a solid two-tracker in the form of ‘Snow Days’ and ‘Split The Harp.’ 

The trio are in no rush to flood the market with music, or release something just for the sake of it. Waiting until they can all be in the studio together to write, an almost forgotten art and methodology, they carefully craft their tracks with a love and detail that sometimes seems to be missing these days. And it’s no different with their latest single.

Arcatype - Split the Harp

Welcome to February! This month we continue our residents mix series with a new mix from phevans - an hour of the best tunes released in the last month or two. This mix features a number of tracks in his signature funky minimal style, then delves deep into some more gritty minimal tunes, and ends with a one-two punch of some harder tunes.

Beyond the decks, phevans is a true advocate for the DnB community. He's obsessed with new music, producing weekly lists of the new releases in the different DnB subgenres, shining a light on fresh talent and undiscovered gems. Sharing these with the community helps keep the scene vibrant, connected, and constantly evolving.
