Modern Conveniences officially launches with Redesigned Vol. 1: four signature pieces from Akuratyde’s back catalogue thoughtfully reworked by Kid Drama, Silent Dust, Jaskin & Uneven, and 3VS. While firmly rooted in the 170 tempo, the release itself is varied; from shades of autonomic and techstep to melancholic jungle and lush halftime.

Akuratyde contributes a Bandcamp exclusive remix, a dreamy interpretation of “Embrace” purposely created for relaxation or sleep.

Drawing on all their influences the Post-Truth EP charts their journey in production over the last 18 months, moving through dark, sombre, and uplifting moods, all following the thread of meticulously crafted breakbeats.

From the urgent, relentless rhythm of "Intersect", the funk of "Igloo", and the pensive anxiety of the title track "Post-Truth", this varied six track excursion represents a high point in the duos output so far.

Chincy was made on a kitchen table using an Akai MPC3000, Moog Sub37 and a Korg Minilogue for hardware; plugged into a Midas Venice mixer, Crane Song STC-1, Thermionic Culture Rooster and Focusrite pre-amps for recording. Vocals by Chicago. Subs by car system tests. 808 by 808. Fingers by Landstrumm.

The tracks are live jams but they aren’t that cheap to make. No hunching over a computer for weeks on end. One take, one mistake. Just jamming on gear after listening to Mantronix , Dre’s The Chronic and many many UK hardcore records. Pizza Pie on speed dial and Mr X for nighttime sessions for added UK swagger. Recorded in a forest with a swampy back garden. 145 is the common thread of ‘Chincy’ and ‘Eighty Four’ with a 160 diversion for equal measure on ‘Cutlass’.
