Lifestyle Music returns with a two-part single, this time representing the sounds of Mean Teeth featuring collaborations with Kerizma MC and Skylark. The Mean Teeth duo reigning from Estonia and Lithuania are a name making serious waves in the Drum & Bass scene, seeing recent releases on Renegade Hardware and Bad Taste to name a few. For this release they’ve teamed up with British Kerizma MC for Gutterfunk, and young French production prodigy Skylark for Hydra.
 
The first track up ‘Gutterfunk’ backed up by the host from the UK’s South Coast ‘Kerizma MC’, sets the tone for the start of the single. Brighton’s own brings the fire on the vocals, whilst the collab smashes the airwaves with deep burly bass and hard-hitting drums; these guys really are firing a weapon. The break then takes you to another dimension, all while maintaining the dark vibe of this masterpiece, before taking you for another ride - lock, stock and two smoking barrels.

Counterpoint (since 2013) is a Drum & Bass label and collective from Porto, Portugal. Our focus on the deep sound has led us to develop an introspective and intimate approach to the sound of Drum & Bass, and all 160+ BPM Bass Music.

As we continue with the reboot of COUNTER x CULTURE, we present the third instalment on the series. Following through with the series mission of finding the most exciting upcoming artists, we're proud to introduce Romanian rising talent - Brusten. 

Based in Bucharest, Alex has been working closely with us for a long period to creating a 2-track single which fully showcases his potential. Besides producing, he is also a very active element within the thriving Romanian Drum & Bass scene, promoting regular nights across the spectrum.

He delivers his perspective of the CXC line in two rollers which bring a little bit of imminent summer influence to our sound. While keeping true with Counterpoint's deep aesthetic, both tracks incorporate a funkier approach, making them perfect for creating ultimate vibes across clubs & festivals during the coming season.

Brusten's style develops over a futuristic take on deep grooves, and this track is a statement of that. In "Spaced out funk" he exerts his powerful combination of modern deep bass sounds, and more traditional a high kinetic pressure of powerful swinging Drums. The track keeps progressing though a constant journey in the limbo between old and new.
