BORN FOR BLISS members, Frank Weyzig and Remco Helbers, decided to join forces again to produce new music. Inspired by the many mysteries of our modern times: conspiracies, alien abductions, UFO encounters and other strange events, Frank and Remco searched the Internet for unusual sounds and strange recordings. These elements give shape to the StarGazing project in a very peculiar way...
 
At some point, they came across a spoken interview in which a woman claims to be abducted by aliens. This interview triggered the initial idea for the StarGazing project. The song "Stargazing", that was build around the audio recording of this interview, reflects the mood and state of mind of the woman, who is clearly emotionally affected by the experience...
 
While they were writing the music for the album, it became clear that all the songs were breathing this same strange emotion. Even the lyrics are being affected in the same way and drift seamlessly from dream to reality. After editing, mixing and placing the songs in a particular order, there appears to be an underlying storyline, the sory of a woman who seems to have lost her grip on reality. A story being told from the perspective of the woman's friend. But, is this woman really losing her grip on reality after all?...

Frank Weyzig is a Dutch producer, composer and bandmember, known for his work with psychedelic wave band Born For Bliss and for his membership of the original line-up with Clan of Xymox. 

More recently Frank is involved with VASELYNE, White Rose Transmission and Stargazing Project. In 2011, Frank founded 'TURMOIL MUSIC', a music platform for Independent Artists.

VASELYNE is a collaboration between Dutch singer Yvette Winkler and Dutch musician and producer Frank Weyzig. A mutual artistic curiosity gave birth to their VASELYNE project in the spring of 2011. One can safely assume that to hold tenure in VASELYNE, you'd best exhibit the deepest level of commitment to what the band stands for. Influenced by bands like Porcupine Tree and Blackfield, Vaselyne could remain one of ambient-alternative rock's most intelligent and gifted technical bands.

The departed personnel that have been assumedly ground to bits within VASELYNE tells a story in itself. Yvette Winkler was co-founder of Dutch band "Sea of Souls" (2006). You can listen to her latest work on Pieter Nooten's album "Here is Why" (2010), for which she sang some of the lead- and backing vocals. Frank Weyzig is a Dutch producer, composer and band member, known for his contribution to the original "Clan of Xymox" and his work for indie new wave band "Born For Bliss".

As always, VASELYNE continues to innovate upon their unique form of art-ambient/alternative and, at the end of the day, its actually the ease with which VASELYNE serves up this versatility, making the music go by in a flash. During Live performances VASELYNE will be joined on stage by Rina Vervoort (flute & keys) and Einar Ihle (violin & keys). 

VASELYNE has released three albums on German label Echozone: ‘Earthbound’ EP (released August 2012), their full length debut album ‘The Fire Within’ (released May 2013) and their latest 8-track EP 'In Dreams' (released October 2015).
