Promised to us eons ago, the humble and gifted roadkill casually slipped this one into our inbox years later. It’s a P R O P E R trip!!! Psychedelic yet fun. But we won’t go on some long winded desctription about it, here’s some words from Roadkill himself… "The mix is quite directly inspired by recordings from Goa around 1991-92 which i had on repeat at the end of last year. the DJs were kind of pulling from everywhere, so belgian new beat, EBM, uk bleep, early german techno from frankfurt, plus some early italian progressive stuff. this whole mish mash of sounds set the tone for what eventually became "trance" and later "goa trance"..... Enjoy xx

Blană is a Danish born artist based in the mists of Melbourne. Passionately sharing deep minimal journeys straight from the heart while opening new channels of consciousness for those who listen. Heavily inspired by her adventures throughout Romania and Vietnam, she sets the mood with dynamic basslines, enchanting rhythms, and spellbinding snares.
In Melbourne, Blană has made her mark as the founder of Dj Social Club, hosting inclusive open deck nights at Radio Bar as well as co-curating the experimental minimal event series: Subterrania. She is a faithful resident at Killing Time Bar, playing on Fridays with Hindsight Music for OVER.

End of the Republic uses the words of Abraham Lincoln to produce a dystopian view of the state of the republic.

The music was made using a Soma Enner, a granular synth and two tape decks running at different speeds. It was of course recorded live with the words dubbed afterwards.

“The sound as life is in constant movement, transformation, I just follow my instinct in the search of my voice”. 

For Franco, music is one of life’s vital necessities, granting him intimate access to higher states of consciousness. The sounds are deep and rich, underpinned by sprawling geographies and ancient narratives. Soft syncopations pulsate forward, as tinges of electronica seep into a landscape of organics and flora. 

Franco comes from a long lineage of family musicians, imbued with the sound of music since the beginning. Exploration of truly eclectic and divergent influences spanning krautrock, free jazz, psychedelia, experimental rock and many more, resulted in experimenting with various forms of music practices. His deeply spiritual relationship with music nurtures the worldly sounds emanating from his creativity, a balanced aesthetic that is guided by trust and the relinquishing of predetermined outcomes. The result is a space of dreamtime liminality and subtle ceremonial motifs.
