It's been a couple of years since i've done one of these, but with the amount of good music that's been released in 2013 i really couldn't resist putting in the effort. The tracks that made it in this mix are the ones that really stood out for me and managed to still sound fresh after many plays, i've decided not to approach this mix from a club perspective because i didn't want it to end up sounding like just another live recording. i've been working on the tracklist all year, so i hope you guys enjoy it even though i had to remove 4 tracks from the end as Ableton wouldn't let me bounce the project because it was too big... One of the first times I heard a proper techno set was over ten years ago with Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh playing in Europe. Since then, these two similar looking and acting maestros have been my all-time favorite dj's and producers. When I found out I would get to open for Raresh and Praslea, at my hometown hangout Output, I was excited like a little boy. The two delivered just as expected and inspired the crowd by playing 3 parties back to back, for over 20+ hours. My set at Output was originally supposed to go until 1230 but as fate would have it, I ended up playing until 2. Mostly vinyl, with a healthy mixture between import and local tracks. Enjoy!

Biography
Cristi Cons’s affair with music began in his childhood, when he started playing the cello. He did it for more than 18 years, graduating the National Music Academy in Bucharest last year. 
He started djing about 6 years ago and since he has developed a very special and unique sound. His mixing skills and talent pushed him in the booth of the best clubs in Europe and along today’s top dj’s.
Electronic music production has been his number one interest in the last years whether he was doing it alone or with Vlad Caia under the SIT (Sideways Invisibility Theory) monicker, a project born in 2009. Together with Vlad Caia he is running the AMPHIA label, unique in all its forms, composition, artwork and quality. 
As a cello player he is also involved in Petre Inspirescu’s π Ensemble project. 
Last year, "Numiris" EP was released on Amphia, a collaboration between Vlad, Raresh and Cristi under the "Verico" moniker.

ルーマニアの黒海岸で生まれ育ったSepp。
2005年Cocoonのアーティストによるコンピレーション作品を聴き初めてエレクトロニックミュージックと出会い、それからすぐにテクノサウンドに没頭していく。
2007年より本格的にDJ活動を開始し、国内最大級のイベントに出演。2008年からはLa Maniaのレジデントに抜擢され、国内シーンを瞬く間に駆け上がっていく。
3年間レジデントとして活躍後、トラック制作を開始。Te Iubesc, Rora, Bodyparts, Andromedaなどのレーベルから次々にリリース、最近では自身が運営するUVARより“Basorelief Postum”を発表。それらの作品はRhadoo ,Cezar, Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Paul Agripa, Cristi Cons, Priku, Mihigh, Matei Tulbure (Tc Studio), Nu Zauといったアーティストにサポートを受けている。
そして現在は年内にリリースが決まっている未発表のプロジェクトに注力している。

Sepp, born and raised on the Romanian Black Sea Coast, had his first contact with the electronic music in 2005, when he listened for the first time to various artists from the Cocoon rooster. From that moment he became passionate about techno sounds. Since 2007 he was topping the bill at the biggest events in the city ’till 2008, when he became the resident of the LaMania club. After 3 years of residence, he decided it was time for production. His tracks are regularly played by likes of Rhadoo ,Cezar , Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Paul Agripa, Cristi Cons, Priku, Mihigh, Matei Tulbure (Tc Studio), Nu Zau, and many others After several releases on Te Iubesc, Rora, Bodyparts, Andromeda and the latest release on UVAR label titled Basorelief Postum. now his attention is turned toward some unfinished projects wich will be released through this year.

10代半ばバンドでDrumsを担当、流れでダンスミュージックの世界に足を踏み入れDJ活動を開始。
カルチャーのルーツへさかのぼり、House～Garage～LoftとNYスタイルの王道にのめり込む。
同時に日本そして東京という環境を活用しあらゆる音楽・スタイル・価値観を吸収し、次第に自分の感覚でそれらをフロアに落とし込むことに意味を見い出す。
今年初め惜しまれつつその第一幕を閉じたハウスミュージックの名店、青山LOOPで14年に渡って第2土曜のレジデントを務め、現在は渋谷KOARAの第4金曜“探心音”、青山OATHでの“THE OATH”第1金曜を中心に様々なパーティーで活動中。

Through his brother - himself a passionate jazz musician - José Rodriguez developed from childhood on a link, even an addiction to music. By buying a turntable and digging for different Hip Hop Vinyls from A tribe Called Quest to J. Dilla, he satisfied his hunger in his youth. Through Couleur 3 and Club Rotation, José then discovered House music – a love that would remain up to today.

For Episode #49 of the series, Rodri put toghether tracks by the likes of Pete Rock, Joe Henderson or Moodyman, showing us some instrumental gems of his collection, which still influences his taste in music today.
