‘Building Up’ is built on a solid foundation of nu disco texture but with a chunkier house edge. Old skool piano rave stabs mix with thick lashings of undulating bass and swirling pad loops while urgent percussion drives the track forward. Heavily effected vocal samples add a trippy touch to this effortlessly slick slice of deepness. A dramatic, pitched-down German spoken vocal adds an unexpected twist, channeling the lineage of the likes of Kraftwerk in the process.
‘Bisou Electrique’ is a subtle throbber of a track that exudes all the colour and charm that has become typical to Enduro Disco productions. A spacious sound abounds, led by slinky delayed synth sounds that recall Metro Area at their finest, and dreamy chord and FX stabs whose warm reverbs put your mind into a dreamy place. Synth strings cascade dramatically as the myriad parts interact with each other in a propulsive, cohesive fashion to create a constant sense of evolving groove. Throw in a few snazzy boogie-era synth wobbles and you’ve got yourself a winner my son.

Following June's "[QR]V.172.TAM.24", featuring tracks by Avision, DJ Deep and Deetron, Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR label is back with another vinyl-only release.  This varied 6-pack, coded "[QR]V.200.SPK.24" is comprised of exclusive tracks from members of the extended COD3 QR family: Skatman, Works Of Intent, Yann Lean, and Joaquim Plossu & Salem Focus, alongside Jules Wells' "Dreamer" (released digitally on the label in May) and Squal G's "Waiting 4U" (from April).

Skatman, the Berlin based, Tunisian born DJ, producer and label head of Cognitive Prophecy follows up his huge COD3 QR track "Tribute to a Dancefloor" with the deep, groovy and aptly titled "Transcending House".  He has already gained recognition for his approach to electronic music, bridging the gap between classic and contemporary with tracks on Innervisions and Correspondent, becoming one of the most intriguing and captivating artists.

Jules Wells who delivered the infectious "The Clap" on COD3 QR 016 is back with the retro House sound of "Dreamer".  Jules Wells is from Bordeaux, France.  Strongly influenced by the Motor City, Jules has released on the likes of Submerge, Twilight 76, KMS, Planet E, Brique Rouge and Logos (Macedonia).

Works Of Intent, a core member of the UK South Asian collective DAYTIMERS and Emotional Weaponry label owner, has recently released an acclaimed guest mix for the legendary John Digweed's Transitions radio show.  Known for his ability to blend emotive storytelling with rhythmic precision, he follows up his "Richer Sound" album (released last year on the label) with the intricate and uncompromising "Subversive".

Producer and manager of the Slates Records label, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the early '90s.  Initially, he practised his art as a DJ before turning to machines and computers as he progressed with production.  Never sticking to a single style, instead, allowing inspiration to lead him, he nevertheless remains in the Techno spirit, as heard on "Waiting 4U".

A multi-faceted composer and DJ, Yann Lean also works as a sound engineer for himself and other artists.  Whether working as a duo with Madben and their side project Trunkline or as a solo artist, he has won the trust and support of prestigious labels such as KMS, Bedrock, Planet Rhythm, Skryptom and Materia, as well as COD3 QR who released "Hope" in 2020.  Now he's back with tribal drums on "To Get Close".

French born, Mexican resident Joaquim Plossu has been making music as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer for the past 20 years with releases on COD3 QR, 31 Recordings, Fokuz, Repertoire, Deep Heads, Planet Rhythm and more.  Both music composer and producer for TV and films, as well as Drum & Bass producer in his spare time, he teams up again with Leeds (UK) based Salem Focus (Fokuz Records / Soulvent / Galacy) for some energetic D&B on closing track "Cosmic".

Fabrizio Mammarella is an influential Italian selector, producer, and label owner with a significant discography that includes club anthems, remixes, and successful collaborations with Lauer (as Black Spuma), Rodion, or as Clap Rules.
 
Since his debut release in 2004, Fabrizio has consistently delivered hits for renowned labels such as DFA, Correspondant, Les Disques De La Mort, or Future Boogie.
 
He co-founded Black Spuma with Lauer, also known for Tuff City Kids or Talamanca System among other monikers. Their 2015 debut EP "Oasi" combined modern italo with house influences. Both artists have a history of quality EPs on labels like Running Back, Beats In Space, or Permanent Vacation (home of their debut album in 2023 as well).
 
As a DJ and label owner, he splits his time between Chieti and Berlin. With Franz Scala, he runs Slow Motion Records and its sub-label Wrong Era, championing the “Italian Dance Wave” sound that spans from italo disco to progressive house. These labels have attracted a global roster of artists, reinforcing Italy’s influence in the electronic music scene.
 
Mammarella’s dedication to honoring Italy’s musical heritage while innovating contemporary sounds has made him a big name in modern dance music. As a producer, DJ, and label boss, he continues to shape the landscape of electronic music, ensuring its vibrancy. Mammarella’s music is a blend of old and new, described as “music for dancefloors made with old synthesizers, drum machines, and a computer.”

Originated throughout the infamous Covid-era, the "Weak Sleep" EP is the culmination of years of collaboration between Haider Uppal and Nie Wieder Schlafen, resulting in a product that is both distinctive and emotionally resonant.
Haider, an emerging young talent from Pakistan tries to carve a niche for himself within the Deep House & House spheres over the past decade. Hailing from Lahore and having studied in Michigan, Haider was profoundly influenced by the rich House and Techno sounds of Detroit. His journey as a dedicated and passionate craftsman has led him to bridge the gap between his native music scene and the broader Western landscape, undeterred by the geographic and cultural distances from techno hubs of the West.

Weak Sleep, Haider Uppal's debut EP on the Berlin-based label Nie Wieder Schlafen, showcases his unique musical vision through three original tracks and four remixes. The originals are imbued with a fluid and nostalgic sound, characterized by textured ambiences and groovy elements that evoke a calm and warm atmosphere. Each track builds a gentle tension that unfolds with a patient, forward-moving energy for the softer dancefloors, underlined by sound reinforcing as well as sound overturning remixes from the likes of Pablo Bolivar, Soela, Thomas Stieler and the label's own Quatri.
This collection is a testament to Haider's artistic journey, capturing a moment in time that is unlikely to be replicated as he continues to evolve and explore new soundscapes, telling his narrative of perseverance, cultural fusion, and the universal language of rhythm and melody.
