The honour of the first release on Exploited Ghetto was earned by our Italian friend Mennie. Having earned praise for his collaborative work with Bambook, his debut solo release for Exploited Ghetto featured a tune with airy synths, a layered, catchy percussive groove and mellow early hour vibes.
Today he returns with a brand new brace of tracks, and having spent many nights working his MPC and JX to the max, he has created the awesome 'H.A.P.P.Y. EP'. So press play and enjoy the smiles for miles...

The A side kicks off with 'The Friends & Lovers Dub' version of the title track 'Love Is Madness', filled with deep pulsing pads, resonating dashes of sax, crisp percussion and a bumping bassline that provides the perfect backdrop to the echoing mantra of 'Friends... Lovers'. 

Next 'I-80' is a wonder of shimmering arps, brooding bass tones and reverberating trumpet touches. Perfect for the early hours, entrancing dancers as it washes over the airwaves. 

On the flip, Austria's golden boy Demuja hits hard with a Kerri Chandler channeling deep house remix of 'Love Is Madness', centred around a pumping bass synth, sustained organs and a classic marriage of horn stabs and emotive spoken word. 

Closing the EP the original mix is a sun kissed, eyes closed gem that blends delicate bongos, rousing sax lines and the sweet vocals of Simon Black & Leafar.

Beginning its days as an intimate loft party in the heart of Shoreditch, Bustin Loose's The Disco Express has come a long way since its earliest inception into London's musical scene. Now operating as a vinyl and digital imprint, the label continues it's release saga this December with the stunning Sour Candy EP.

Soundsmith's Acorns leads proceedings with gusto. It's a groove-lead affair, coupling lush key solos with echoing vocal tones, whilst whispering hats provide the signature funk-fuelled Disco Express rhythm.

Victimised by Takao comes next. Featuring an emotive female hook throughout, the five-minute cut feels both poignant and elated in one. Resonant chords reside atop subtle kick-hat combos to form a beautiful club-ready number. Perfect for sunrise, sunset or anywhere in between.

Rounding off proceedings is Theon Bower’s Sour Candy. Swiftly upping the tempo, it’s a peak-time piece that you can’t help but dance to. Acoustic guitar rhythms blend into infectious saxophone solos before we're taken back to dance floors of old with plenty of feel-good, boogie-laden singing.
