Subject: Follow-Up on PIPEDA Access Request – Outstanding Items Required
Dear Amelia,
Thank you for providing the bank records covering March 2023 to account closure in April 2024.
However, I still need the following items to complete my request:A) The reason for the closure of my bank account, as well as any internal notes, memos, or correspondence related to the reason for the closure.B) Complete bank records for my account, going back from account opening to closure.C) An itemized list of all Amazon KDP payments, including the date received and the amount.Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), I have the right to access my personal information held by Scotiabank, including a complete and accurate copy of all records containing my personal information, as well as meaningful information about the use or disclosure of that information where applicable. This right includes access to internal notes, correspondence, or documentation related to decisions affecting my account, such as the reason for its closure, and full historical transaction records from account opening to closure. Organizations are required to respond to access requests promptly, within 30 days, and to provide the information in an understandable form. If certain information is withheld, the organization must provide reasons for the refusal and inform me of my right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. I have made this request repeatedly since early December 2025, and while partial records have been provided, the outstanding items remain necessary for my personal records and an active Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario proceeding.It has been almost a month since my initial request, and this has been repeated several times. 
Is there a reason these items have not yet been provided?

Notre représentation de l’histoire est très voir trop souvent liée à des œuvres de fictions. Mais le cinéma, tout comme la littérature, prend des libertés avec notre passé. Tout en respectant un verni historique, le spectateur ou le lecteur est assez rapidement confronté à des raccourcis, des simplifications voire des erreurs historiques. Un des exemples les plus emblématiques de ces vingt dernières années est sans nul doute le personnage de Commode. Nous avons tous en tête l’image de cet empereur, qui dans le film de Ridley Scott Gladiator, défie le Général Maximus Decimus, en trichant dans le fameux cirque romain. Storiavoce vous propose de partir à la découverte de ce personnage énigmatique. Qui était le fils de Marc Aurèle et de Faustine la Jeune? Mais aussi qui était sa sœur Lucilla admirablement interprétée dans le film par Connie Nielsen ? Est-ce que d’ailleurs Maximus a existé, tout comme les conjurations des sénateurs ? Interrogé par Christophe Dickès, Eric Teyssier nous fait découvrir un des personnages les plus énigmatiques de l'histoire romaine.

L'invité: Spécialiste de la Rome antique, Eric Teyssier est maître de conférences à l’université de Nîmes, où il dirige le département d’histoire. Il a publié le livre référence sur les gladiateurs, La Mort en face. Le dossier gladiateurs, ainsi que des biographies particulièrement remarquées : Spartacus et Pompée. Il vient de publier aux éditions Perrin une biographie de Commode (380 pages, 23€).

Parfois, la littérature nous raconte l’histoire avec un grand H, les longs poèmes qui se présentent à nous comme des fragments d’archives. La naissance de Rome racontée dans les textes fondateurs, est aussi poétique qu'énigmatique. Les Anciens établissent sa fondation au 21 avril 753 av. J.-C. C’est Romulus qui en aurait posé la première pierre. Il est le descendant d’Énée, héros de la guerre de Troyes célébré par Virgile dans son Énéide, et dont le débarquement sur les rives du Tibre constitue un autre temps fort de l'histoire des origines de Rome. Mais quel crédit accorder aux textes littéraires, souvent écrits bien des années après les faits ? Pourquoi ce vif intérêt des Anciens pour la ville de Rome ? À quelles sources se référer pour dégager le vrai de la légende ? Quel est le matériau de l’archéologie ? Cette histoire de Rome aux origines est le fruit d’un travail aux carrefours de plusieurs disciplines : la mythologie, la littérature, l’histoire, l’archéologie, la philologie. De facto, cette histoire des origines de Rome ne peut s’écrire que grâce à la confrontation des hypothèses issues des différentes disciplines que nous venons d’évoquer.

L’auteur : Alexandre Grandazzi est historien et professeur à Sorbonne Université, spécialiste de la Rome antique. Ses recherches s’inscrivent dans une démarche pluridisciplinaire. Il a notamment écrit : Urbs. Histoire de la ville de Rome des origines à la mort d'Auguste (Perrin, 2017, 768 p.), Une certaine idée de la Grèce avec Jacqueline de Romilly (Hachette, 2006, 352 pages) et vient de publier un Que-sais-je ? sur Les origines de Rome (PUF, 2019, 128 pages).
