Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

V-Dat a.k.a. Vedat Korkmaz
His career starts at the Turkish label NOX-Pro DJs and followed by Club Sawady, Club She-va, Prive Club, Tropicano Beach, and Antik Cisterna better known as Club Akademia. Subsequently, from 2008 he is a resident at the Bulgarian Mojito Beach Style at the Golden Sands resort, and works for the Housexy party of Club Horizont along with participations in Varna and throughout the country for clubs like Arrogance Music Factory, Xtravaganzza, Club Xtra, Club Case, Planet Club ,Club Kanape and many more. He has co-participated with names like Tom Novy, Dimas a.k.a D-formation, DJ Tarkan , Crazibiza , Ahmet Kilic , Mahmut Orhan and many more...

Calussa, composed of Miami natives Andrew and Gino, is an electronic music duo known for their talent and distinctive House sound, which has led to consistent global chart success. Calussa has showcased their music on prestigious labels such as the legendary Defected Records, Diplo’s Higher Ground, Saved Records, Get Physical, their own imprint, Hurry up Slowly, among many more.

Calussa's talent, passion, and dedication to their craft have earned them support from acclaimed artists such as Black Coffee, Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, Vintage Culture, Diplo, Dennis Cruz, John Summit, Pete Tong, Blondish, Gorgon City, and many more, further solidifying their status as rising stars. Their track "Fell in Luv," a collaboration with Carlita released on Diplo's Higher Ground label, climbed the charts in the Dance Electronic genre. "Fell in Luv" was featured on Billboard and other notable press, along with being added to Spotify’s MINT editorial.

It continues to captivate listeners with its infectious energy. In more recent news, Calussa teamed up with Nic Fanciulli on ‘Vente,’ a contagious Latin crossover house track released on the UK’s legendary label; Defected Records. Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
