Alfonso Pomeda is one of the finest underground artists from Madrid, not only in the Electronic music world, but as a person totally dedicated and involved in different music projects like his now online only record store “…Is The Place” or being the co-director of the spanish events Sonikas and CALMA. He also co-directs the labels Downbeat, Eleve and Memories on Wax and Alpenglühen which takes the ambient path.

As a DJ, he covers a great variety of styles like 4x4 electronics, experimental music, ambient, the more atmospheric horizontal Techno and American House.
Wise music artist with progressive, deep and long mix sessions, pretending to be trips and stories with a beginning and an end, with special attention to speech.

This month, Alfonso’s label Downbeat has a vinyl reléase in coming with music by one of his label parters Jose Rico.

Alpenglühen is a German word which conveys an optical phenomenon in which the last light ray on the mountain falls before nightfall. It is called that because the music falls somewhere in between light and darkness.

F-on (@f-ondj) presents MOSTRA Barcelona Festival full line-up.

This is an exclusive vinyl-only session with music from some of the artists from Mostra Barcelona Festival (@mostrabcn). The mix showcases the different styles you'll find at the festival, with a flowing coherence to the sound. It starts with ambient and electronica and continues into a hypnotic, gliding deeper techno sound. The two ABSIS tracks serve as a bridge between styles. The session concludes with broken rhythms of sinuous bass and Lynchian atmospheres. In this special mix, you'll find some of our favourite tracks from the last few years - classics already in the Mostra festival record bag.

This month’s introspective podcast comes from one of the most well respected ambient and deep techno artists and promoters in Spain ~ the Madrid-based Alfonso Pomeda aka F-on 🍃

"This mix contains several of my current favorite minimal and techno records and also several classic gems of the genre.

For personal reasons, it was recorded at night, with the volume low on the speakers, which complicated the process a bit. It's not my most technically perfect session, but, on the other hand, the situation forced me to make a kind of blend and speech without stridency and this has built a very interesting sleepy atmosphere.

It's the music I could play nowadays at an after hour club and the way I would play it."
