The Safari Rally was first held in 1953, as the East African Coronation Safari in Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika as a celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. In 1960 it was renamed the East African Safari Rally and kept that name until 1974, when it became the Kenya Safari Rally.

this album is the sound of a heart breaking in a city that never stops glowing.

it lives in that emo space where everything feels too loud and too quiet at the same time then slams into edm / hybrid trap energy with y2k bass grit. the synths are emotional but sharp, the drums hit like a panic you can dance through, and the glitches feel like the moment you realize you’re not getting that text back. it’s messy in a good way: beautiful melodies, raw low-end, and distorted edges that make the sadness feel physical.

think late-night neon, headphones at 1am, bass that sounds like regret, and a drop that feels like you finally letting go.
