Got a break from work and tracked this cover.

As you can notice by listening to the original track, Edge's guitar is panned hard left basically for the whole track...So I removed the left channel and used the right one as a backing track, then added my own guitars on top.

Gear used: Ibanez Artcore AFS75 >> Axe Fx 2 >> Pro Tools

On the Axe Fx 2: some drive with the  FET boost >> digital delay >> Vox AC30 amp sim

Added some shimmer for the intro and a touch of phasing for the break after the first chorus.

Added a hint of compression (needle barely moving on the LA3A, just because we can...) and some reverb, then bounced from Pro Tools as it was. No further processing was applied.

79 start through a axe fx2 to box ac30. dry amp sound then with delay. Blocks used were delay with modulation and for the shimmer path a plexishift delay. Drive is from the amp  this was recorded with a edirol r9 sitting in the middle of my living room so its sort of low fi. meaning not the best capture..it sounds a bit thin
