Dj Sotofett and LNS have established themselves as independent artists not bound by the convention or shackles of ‘industry’. Over the years they have released some of the most innovative and interesting records across a plethora of record labels including Wania, Freakout Cult, Honest Jon’s, SUED and many more.

For years Dj Sotofett has been the powerhouse behind the Sex Tags family of record labels and has never been one to be pigeonholed often releasing music which is hard to place or define. It’s wild and chaotic – just the way we like it. Over the years he has dabbled in Dub, Techno, House and beyond. One thing is for sure though, it’s always been weird and wonderful.

LNS has formed a strong relationship with the Sex Tags family of labels, releasing a number of records in collaboration with Dj Sotofett via the imprint. She has her own label, LNS and has a busy and consistent release schedule which leads to her records being found in the bags of discerning collectors and DJ’s all over.

In recent times the pair have formed a close relationship with Tresor, the longstanding Berlin label and club which has been pivotal in the evolution of underground Electronic music. It appears the pair share a similar sensibility to the DIY ethos which has always been associated with the club.

This year saw them follow up the release of their album on the label with a new EP on the imprint.

An explorative one-hour scoping the bassier edge of techno, confident elements of electro, cooler, atmospheric moments, as well as some funkier points too. Featuring tracks from KiNK, Thomas Garcia, Job De Jong, Paul Laurens, Otodojo and more. There are also some highlight mix moments supplied by Bambounou himself (‘2 D22P’ at the midpoint, and to close the fiery ’ICE SPICE REMiIIIXXX’); all in all, it's an exemplary example of Bambounou’s unique take on experimental, club-focused sounds.

Kajunga World 2024

"They were wild and crazy years." The Spanish techno icon discusses his early years in Madrid, running record labels and staying true to his sound for more than 30 years.

Spanish DJ and producer Oscar Mulero is a legend of underground techno. Since starting to play parties and make music more than 30 years ago, he's earned a reputation as an anti-conformist tastemaker who's adamantly stuck to his guns. While his trajectory began with Madrid's goth and punk clubs in the '90s, he eventually found techno in the early '00s and started two labels, PoleGroup and Warm Up, as homes for the hypnotic, spaced-out sound that's become his signature. 

In this RA Exchange, Mulero reflects on the early days of the Spanish techno scene and how it's evolved, as well as his own roots and influences. Today, the artist is as active as he's ever been, he discusses how he's maintained longevity as an artist in the face of changing trend, as well as his best practices for making music at home and on the road. Well I'm back.... and HAPPY HOLIDAYS and welcome back to the show…. Somewhere in_____. The FRESHEST podcast out in these streets... at least I like to think so. Anyway Scene 6 takes us to DETROIT for the 2 Year Anniversary of CRUSH at SPKR BOX. CRUSH is a night created by my good friend and fellow artist Joshua Tree... U know the cat who did the dope remix of my track "Yes the water is..." If u don't know u better check it out and go get it! Joshua invited me to play the night with him and a fellow Detroit native Sloth Boss. I decided to change it up a bit and play HOUSE. I have NOT played house in over 5 years and to make matters worse it was an ALL VINYL SET which I have not touched a record in about 3 years...  YEAH! I didn't know what to play so I just threw some records in the box and hit the road. So prepare yourself for a ride which at the time I had NO CLUE what or where I was headed or what I was doing!!!, There were a few technical glitches and mistakes in this mix but I'm not a ROBOT and I'm not famous enough to play out every week. All I can say... the crowd liked it and I got a few free drinks. :)
