Baranyai Balázs aka DJ Dobee – A Devotee of Analog Sound
DJ Dobee, has been an active figure in the music scene since 1993. His passion for collecting music began with CDs, but by 1994 he was fully immersed in vinyl culture—a commitment that has defined his artistic path ever since. Music runs deep in his family: his father was a lead guitarist, and two of his stepbrothers are also musicians.
Throughout his career, DJ Dobee has performed across Hungary in clubs, on radio shows, and at various events, becoming known for his authentic approach to hip-hop, soul, funk, funky, and breakbeat. His vinyl collection now numbers close to 12,000 records, with an increasing focus on rare 7” singles in recent years.
Since relocating to Dublin in 2012, delivering sets that blend carefully selected rarities with seamless, soulful mixing. DJ Dobee has become synonymous with deep, crate-digging sessions and rich, analog soundscapes aimed at discerning listeners and true music lovers.
