Oliver Hafenbauer is a quietly influential artist who, for many years, shaped not only his local Frankfurt scene but also the wider electronic underground through his work with the legendary Robert Johnson club. In 2019 he stepped away from his roles there and has made his own mark. He is an accomplished DJ who takes his expert selection of house, IDM, techno and electro all around Europe, and also runs his left-of-centre Die Orakel label where artists are free to serve up their most experimental sounds. 

This week he comes live and direct into your life with a timeless mix of club-ready beats that showcase exactly what he does so well. It's a balanced cross-section of robust four-four sounds that swerve fads and eschew any frills in favour of different textures and bass weights. Some are dark and heavy, others are more sleek and hypnotic, and the whole thing is held together with a sense of energy that makes the 60 minutes pass in an instant.

Peach's DJ bio simply reads: "Ball of energy." And that's exactly what she brings each and every time. The Toronto-born, London-based DJ has made high impact, thrillingly eclectic sets an art form in the last few years having first started to turn heads with her brilliantly broad radio shows on NTS. Her dynamism also carries over into the music she has produced for labels like Midland's Intergraded and Shanti Celeste and Gramrcy's Peach Discs. 

Peach's signature passionate style runs all the way through this week's mix. From the flurry of jungle breakbeats that open it up to the prickly bass, frenetic club rhythms and euphoric rave of the midpoint, it's an unrelenting ride. The second half becomes more spaced out, with roomier cuts and hypnotic grooves carrying you through the night and into the next morning.

Separating herself as a DJ in an increasingly competitive industry, RENA leaped into the notable territory through persistent work ethic and cerebral curations. From Greece, RENA’s journey started locally - offering extensive experience to develop her technical and programming skills. Capitalizing on subgenres ranging from dub and deep techno, to driving and raw, RENA surfaces a variety of flavors within, oftentimes including arpeggio accents, emotion-invocation, and heavy atmospherics.

RENA carries her selective taste into MNMT 329, bringing listeners an array of hidden gems. With each track emphasizing an element of its own, some share driving “bleeps and bloops”, deep drones, and arpeggios to drive the hour forward.

RENA has been heard playing at acclaimed international venues alongside seasoned artists such as Oscar Mulero, Sebastian Mullaert, Dasha Rush, Len Faki, and Ben Sims. Currently, RENA is resident to the semi-weekly show on Cannibal Radio, “un\common route’.”

as usual. is a Berlin-based imprint for electronic music, which basically began as a weekly event series in 2013. Four years later, the music label as usual.music was launched and concentrates on releasing a deeply groovin' cutting-edge sound in various facets, delivered by some fabulous artists of the labels surrounding, as well as several other renowned acts with a contemporary sense for underground and club music.

as usual.music is focused on Techhouse and Minimal, with influences of multiform ranges in Techno and House music, such as Deeptech/Deephouse. Deeply groovin' cutting-edge sounds and crispy tight rhythms are basic to what makes it shakin' or bangin' – consequently, the demanding nature of our music is fundamentally made for having maximum aesthetics to please the dancefloors. With no fear to break the rules at some point. It's represented by some of the most interesting artists in the underground music and club scene. We love to connect diverse aspects of creativity to having an intense excitement in projects and concepts. The result is a highly inspiring and perceptive state of quality dance music. Taking the challenge of the ongoing evolution in contemporary music industries and feeling the impulses of tomorrow are implanted genes of our beings.

As an active part of Colombia's electronic music scene, Anne Artikel (aka Magdalena) has built a prolific and enduring career as a music producer, DJ and live act that has been renowned in both the local and international scene due to her outstanding genre bending approach and prominent boundary pushing style in music. Having worked with all different sorts of genres under her different monikers (Anne Artikel, Magdalena, Ana Gartner, Magdalena Solo Project, Telequinetics (Lead Singer) she has worked in different styles ranging from punk, post punk, trip- hop, techno, synth wave and industrial music and therefore developed a peculiar sound, filled with dynamics, moments of sheer passion and expression and an uncanny way of connecting with the ethereal realms of the soul which transcends beyond mere listening to make her performances
unique and to be remembered. Iconic shows such as her Boiler Room debut in Bogotá, which was charted by Pulse Radio as one of the best techno streaming sets of 2016, her live performance recently in the Museum of modern Art in Medellín (MAMM) and countless residencies and DJ performances throught the years in many prolific clubs and venues all around the word, serve to show her great endeavour and passionate approach to music. Besides her work as a musician, she is also the label owner of Broken Mind Recordings, an imprint that has released music in digital and vinyl format and is still
underway to showcase the more experimental and unique sounds of music within a sub lable which is currently in the works. Also, she is the curator of Desobediencia Civil, a electrónic music dance party based in Colombia that has booked amazing artists such
as Pinion, Oliver Klingenberg and PERC, focused mainly on allowing self expression, resilience and freedom of self for the attendees and a streaming project in Medellín called Kubo, made to showcase the evergrowing talent of local artists as well as invite visiting musicians to showcase their work while touring in Colombia. Born out of perpetual and undying desires to create and give light to the crevices of the soul, Anne Artikel aka Magdalena is an artist that will forever be remembered for her relentless passion and discipline towards music, constantly reinventing her sound to envelope the escence of
changing times and pave the vision of the past, present and future of music.

HAMAM Nights founder and newly appointed Panorama Bar resident Sedef Adasï handles our inaugural edition, delivering a solid 60 minutes featuring tracks from Luke Vibert, Gerome Sportelli, Isaiah, Friedrich Ernstwith, DJ DISRESPECT and more, with an unreleased tune in there too.

Turkish born, Germany-based DJ Sedef Adasï is a genre-hopping specialist; known to blend anything from tough, psychedelic acid, accelerated techno, rough house and glistening, warping electro. Her mix for us, expertly glides through a rich selection of the above – readying us for her very first appearance – of many, we hope – in our main room next month.

001 – Sedef Adasï - fabric podcast

Colombian born Adriana Lopez has established herself as one of the most influential techno artists of all time. 

Over the years, the DJ, producer and label head, has been perfecting her instantly recognisable style of brooding, hypnotic and driving techno through releases on labels known to nurture this sound, such as Spanish labels PoleGroup and Semantica and of course on her own label, Grey Report where Adriana has been developing and releasing music from artists such as Developer, NX1, Takaaki Itoh & more.  

As a DJ, Adriana has been developing her craft for well over two decades now, beginning in her hometown of Bogota in the late 90’s before moving to Barcelona in 2003 which opened up a global touring schedule with performances at the best clubs in the world. Her sound is dark yet groovy, its rhythm and energy offers pure escapism. It’s hard to find a more dedicated, consistent and skillful approach to DJ’ing…  

Adriana steps up for the second edition of our newly launched fabric podcast. For 2 hours, we’re treated to a ferocious offering of unreleased music, current favourites and some of Lopez’s own productions.

Hannah Holland’s role in London’s alternative and queer scene goes back over a decade ago. In the mid 2000’s, she began exploring the lines between techno, electro and house music whilst also being heavily influenced by the D&B and Jungle raves of which she spent most of her teens.   

London served as the ultimate melting pot and hub for development, nurturing Holland’s unique sound which took her through residencies at iconic events such as Trailer Trash, to festival stages such as Glastonbury’s NYC Downlow and to extended sessions at Panormama Bar and across Europe.  

She also heads up the Batty Bass imprint, founded in 2009 as a label and event series, it provided a platform for her own explorations as well as one for artists such as our own resident Josh Caffe, The Carry Nation, Lauren Flax & more.   As a producer, Hannah has collaborated alongside Josh Caffe on Crosstown Rebels whilst also taking up remix duties for legendary figures such as DJ Hell, Goldfrapp, The Knife and Planningtorock.  

Hannah joins us for 003 in the fabric podcast, ahead of her appearance at fabric on July 2nd where will be celebrating Pride with HE.SHE.THEY. Also on the night is Cassy, TAAHLIAH, Anna Wall, Massimiliano Pagliara & lot’s more.

Martyn’s music transcends the constraints of genre… 

Pick a track from his extensive back catalogue and you’ll be sure to hear influences from Drum ’n’ Bass, Garage, Detroit, Chicago or Dubstep - the latter of which Martyn was probably known best for having been influential in the evolution of the “Post-Dubstep” sound in London that was so closely connected with institutions like Plastic People and FWD>.   

This broad collection of influences has created a sound that is distinctively, Martyn, and as an extension of that, a sound that is very much associated with his own label, 3024. It has also found it’s way on to the best labels across the electronic landscape, including Ninja Tune, Warp, Hyperdub, Brainfeeder and Ostgut Ton to name a few.  

His ability as a DJ runs parallel to his achievements as a producer, having secured his place in fabric history over 10 years ago with his contribution to our fabric CD series. A perfect snapshot of a place in time with music from Kode9, Actress, Zomby, Joy Orbison and lot’s more.

Ahad Elley, aka Ahadadream, has had an impact on the party-starting circuit since lockdown that's been well recognised, but his impact stretches long before then; Ahadadream formed More Time Records with Sam Interface in 2017, and has his fingers in several pies and projects. As co-founder of South Asian music-focused festival Dialled In, which launched last September, and mastermind behind No ID party which has welcomes the likes of Naina, Nabihah Iqbal and Jyoty to staple London venues, Ahad has played a key party in championing and paying forward the sounds and talent of South Asian DJs who are electrifying UK dance music.

With a tour in the works, the British-Pakistani DJ and producer has been shutting things down at festivals and venues across the globe this summer, with notable sets including a recent B2B with Daytimers’ Yung Singh at Glastonbury’s famous Silver Hayes area. His sound is aptly club-ready, often referencing his South Asian roots, whilst emphasising his love of drums, percussive hits and an energy that is distinctly London-rooted. The sounds of which decorate recent EP release Homecoming. Met with warm acclaim, The Guardian dubbed it as “the stuff of ravey dreams.” And we’re dreaming of raving with Ahad very soon.

Champion is one of east London’s finest bass and beatsmiths. His tracks have featured on numerous iconic past FABRICLIVE mixes (Four Tet & Champion – ‘Flip Side’ on FABRICLIVE 89: Hannah Wants, ‘Gunshot’ on FABRICLIVE: 88 Flava D, and Champion - ‘Cannon (Dismantle's VIP)’ on FABRICLIVE 86: My Nu Leng), so it feels right to be welcoming him back fabric for a Friday night. 

Since breaking through with a debut EP in 2011, Champion has been a formidable name in the UK bass scene. In a way, this pairing symbolises the legacy of old school fabric, and the new generation coming together. Ahadadream and Champion’s mix for us taps into some serious rave-ready sounds, reflecting the dazzling rhythmic rapport of these two. We can’t wait to see it in action.
