Here we have the last set for now from this year's Nachtipod series from Olganitz. @moopie, even though it was his first time at this place, understood it immediately. His set at the lake was a pure joy for the dancers - less techno tunnel, more bouncy, less trippy, more looking right and left(field).
He paired vintage prog with dreamy electro that morning and even ventured slightly into italo territories. Well it's all rave and in the end Moopie's greatest talent is knowing exactly what that one track is that people need most right now.

Someone who has been at the forefront of music throughout his whole life whether its wearing his journalist hat, author cap, producer trilby, remixer bandana or of course his disc jockey deerstalker, Bill Brewster is an absolute tour de force of the scene.

This is Part 2 of my Mystery of the Motherbeat series of DJ mixes. I’ve wanted to record this mix for a long time as a follow-up to my 2018 mix by the same name. Both are a fusion of styles used to build a psychedelic hypnotic soundscape for deep listening and personal synchronization with the heart of Motherbeat. This has probably been my record of the year so far. It’s an old record from ‘97 and something that I’ve had in my collection for a long time but it came back into my life at the start of the year when I was looking for some deeper, groovier stuff to play at a gig I was playing. I played it that night and it created such a vibe that I’ve been playing it regularly since then. When I played it at Panorama Bar earlier this year it was a real stand-out moment. I think with the tendency for everyone to play faster and harder music right now this record really stands out with its loose Latin groove and soulful vocals.'

*I never set out to write a specific style; after playing & sharing music for so many years, like radio hoster as clubs & hot cultural parties fanatic, you don’t really think about what you're doing. It’s not always a conscious process, it’s often very natural.

I can hear what might have influenced it. I wouldn’t say "who" it’s more "what I’ve fine tuned what outboard I needed, and what tracks & dynamic I wanted to use.

The expectations are certainly there, and you wish to fulfill all of them...but maybe it's impossible to please everybody ...
There are many variables that are completely uncontrollable and also influence the gig and make it either great, ok, or bad. 

I just try to understand the crowd's general atmosphere, the surrounding, and my mood. Adapt to that and keep it as easy as possible.
