Mr. Mitch's first foray of the year comes from 'cold war grime' specialist who graced our screens in our latest Boxed All-Stars episode, Loom. Following on from a 2015 run which struck Tarquin, Bloom and Iglew off their most wanted list, the European Heartache EP is next off the Gobstopper Records conveyor belt.

A struggle with identity forms the core theme for the project. "What's my identity when society dictates how I should present myself because of my race, sex, religion, sexual preference?", asks the young beat fiend in his press release.

Our choice, "Nylon", is the epitome of that heartache; a plunge into the deeper, more romantic realms of instrumental grime and led by the yearning cries of a square wave topline.

European Heartache EP is set to be delivered in time for Valentine's.

​Time to step into the dark and dangerous. Bristol legend Pinch is back on home ground as he prepares to serve up his next release on his own label, Tectonic. Aimed straight for the dance floor, Screamer, sees Pinch team up with recent collaborator and grime legend Riko Dan who lays down his impeccable trademark vocals over the industrial garage-esque beats. The beat, which sees pinch head down a more dark and gritty 4x4 route, is the perfect complement to the sonic dark side of Riko’s flow which goes straight in, no holes barred. Having already been aired by Benji B on Radio 1 as well as support from the likes of Mary-Anne Hobbes, Leofah and Mumdance, its time to delve into the i-D premiere of the forthcoming Screamer. It really is a screamer.

Dnešní speciální vydání mohli slyšet posluchači rádia Helax 93,7 FM, dle mého názoru nejlepší české taneční rádio, v sobotu 6.8.2011 v rámci tříhodinové Helax Dance Party s Jirkou Javorským. 

Nostalgicky jsem utřel slzu a hodil takřka 2,5 hodinový živý set. Vychutnejte si Jacked Retro v tomto unikátním vydání show JackIN s DJ PIFem a DJ Kubou Fucimanem za mixákem, kdy hrajeme pro narozeninového JJ ve znamení lehkého Retra! 

V první hodině se vydáme do tří rozličných vod. První část se zabývá Jackin retrem, druhá část hlavně Vocal retrem, třetí část jsem trochu přitvrdil v Housovém retru (Big Love!). Druhou hodinu startuje první guest mix od Kuby Fucimana, který naservíroval jedinečně magické retro, abych pak ve zbývajícím čase navázal v poklidno-neklidném duchu v nepřerušovaném společném hodinovém setu.

BTW Kubu Fucimana a Jirku Javorského můžete vidět a hlavně slyšet např. ve Frýdlantu nad Ostravicí na koupališti 26.8.2011. Možná budu mít taky cestu okolo, uvidíme :).

Užijte si to, protože toto vydání je neskutečně žhavé...
