Bailey has been entrenched in drum & bass and jungle since the earliest chapters of the movement – his role on pirate station Energy FM, his residency with Metalheadz during its most era-defining Blue Note moments, his 10-year tenure at BBC Radio 1Xtra, the list goes on – but most importantly he’s still right in the heart of the scene now. Resolute, inspired, and dedicated; he is one of the most consistent selectors and supporters of the genre in every possible direction.

As a broadcaster, he’s never been busier with regular shows on Kool FM and The BoAt Pod and allowing him to push the very best of new drum & bass and champion new talent across multiple platforms and territories. As a promoter, he’s the founder of Intabeats Music, an event brand dedicated to the true underground sound that’s renowned for its midweekly and unique inner-city locations. As a vibe-obsessed producer, he has developed a powerful line of releases on Metalheadz, Dispatch, C.I.A and Full Cycle. As a lecturer at Point Blank and Middlesex University, he is fully committed to ensuring the movement is just as strong for the next generation, sharing his knowledge and insights in the same impassioned way he shares the sounds he loves as a DJ.   

Above all, he is one of the most articulate, incisive, deepest-digging and industry-respected DJs in the game. The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

Releasing music from some of the biggest names out there whilst at the same time pushing and letting new talent break through are the reasons why Metalheadz continues to stay at the forefront of electronic music.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club. Bono, Bob Geldof and Nelson Mandela have all previously cited him (and BCUK) as their main influences, and Maldini's music has been known to heal the dying and sick when all other medical efforts have failed. Following the release of Bad Taste, the birth rate was documented to have risen in at least ten European cities, not to mention several states in the US. The music written by Maldini as BCUK has been proven to be directly attributable to the health of the global economy and the UK's gold bullion reserves. In 2003 he had to take out an injunction against tragic wheelchair chaser Anna Nicole Smith, for her stalking and indecent exposure. It's rumoured that Maldini will become the first lunar real estate owner following his recent reported purchase of a 100 acre plot south of the Sea of Traquility - something he is currently neither confirming or denying". ..
